Why isn't APT bigger than DWAS in the US?

Apt is more upbeat and arguably fits the current sound zeitgeist better, Blackpink historically had huge streams in the US, Rose probably caters to a younger audience, and both songs have #thankyouBruno. Why isn't Apt outdoing DWAS in the H100?

Hmmm good point. I checked Kworb, not sure how accurate it is but DWAS's 7day number is also higher than APT.

Because as much as certain people like to pretend the success of DWAS is down to Bruno, both artists contribute to its popularity.

Not only in the US, but DWAS is also  bigger in Europe.

 

Asian countries are carrying Apt and the western world is carrying DWAS.

Actually, DWAS was and still massive in Asia. Asia carried DWAS first before LatAm and Europe hence its longevity. It did not peak at the same time worldwide unlike APT. or other WW smashes.
