Biggest vs Greatest Artist of the 21st Century

So let's ignore that atrl (and Twitter) don't seem to know the difference between biggest and greatest for a second.

Which one do you think is the better title to have?

BIGGEST Artist of the 21st Century

Or

GREATEST Artist of the 21st Century

there's a level of subjectivity in being the greatest while in being the biggest is all about facts but that doesn't mean that popular = good so... both are kind of stupid.

would prefer to be the greatest though.

Biggest is objective

Greatest is subjective

Still, both are great titles to have that only THEE Beyoncé and THEE Taylor Swift will hold for a while.

The term pop star refers to someone who is popular (pop), famous (star) and makes pop music. A great pop star is someone who excels in those things. The greatest pop star is therefore just the one who is the most popular - aka the "biggest". It's really the same thing.

The greatest artist, musician or entertainer is something else entirely.

I think they both seem just about equally great to have. And, to Billboard's point, they're related, even if not the same - one who has one of those titles will rank highly on the list for the other. If you combine Beyoncé's solo units and DC units, she's only behind Taylor, Eminem, Mariah, and Drake among 90's and later artists, not to mention having one of the biggest tours of all time and everything else. He iconography, influence, and cultural impact elevate her past the others, at least in the minds of many, when we think of "greatness." Taylor, while not named the "greatest" by Billboard, is still top two in their ranking, on top of being the biggest since at least Michael Jackson. They go hand in hand.

"Greatest" is more relevant than "biggest".

One is objective, one is subjective. :giraffe:

I'd rather be a five star meal than McDonald's.

Taylor, Beyonce & Rihanna would be on both lists so eh.

The other girls can fight!

It's like choosing between achieving Michelin 3 stars or having commercial success of McDonalds
