prettyinpink940 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Most people still refer to him as the King of Pop, MTV's Lifetime Achievement award is still named after him, musicals/touring productions based on his music sell out around the world to this day... A lot of celebrities have been cancelled for much less serious things than what he was accused of during his day. Is it just because his music is that good? 2
Capris Groove Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago He's so ubiqutious that he would have to be proven guilty beyond a doubt to be cancelled. 12
GraceRandolph Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Payoffs, coverups, bot farms, and propaganda campaigns to control the narrative and smear anyone living in reality. 3 3 1 5
JO1s Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Well his accusers have changed their stories several times. Plus he along with Madonna pioneered what it means to be a pop star. Almost anything our favs have done MJ probably did it years ago. And yes the music is that good. 13 1

itshyolee Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Idk, but if Madonna and her thing for underage boys can still be praised and worshipped as a pop queen then who cares? Y'all can't just pick and choose. 2 4
Afterglow Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Because they were lies, and millions of people know that. People keep attempting taking down the Jackson's because they are successful and black. Theyve attempted destroying both Michael and Janet. 5 1 8

Gorjesspazze9 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Unlike a lot of artist that are overrated, he actually was talented in singing and dancing. 3
dumbsparce Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Didn't the allegations come out after his death? No one can wrap their head around hating on someone who's dead and gone. 4
BrokenMachine Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago He'll always be a polarizing figure. Too much time has passed, and he's long gone, so it's not like he could say something or do something anymore about the constant allegations. By the way, the media was too harsh with him the whole time, and that's why many people don't want to believe some stories about him. His mental health was in a constant doubtful state, and he definitely was part of some spectrum, but that's something we'll never know. Despite being such an impactful figure, and the most influential icon when it comes to pop music, his whole persona was always a mystery, so I guess most people just respect him for what he brought to the music industry, but are reluctant to decide something about his personal life. 4

I don't remember that but I have no reason to doubt you. Cancel culture wasn't a thing back then I guess. Was he ever taken to court though? Maybe that's why he was never taken down. 1
Dula Peep Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Why is Nicki Minaj still famous and loved despite being a **** person? why is our President Donald Trump despite the multiple sexual assaults? as long as people like what they are getting they don't give a flying f*ck… that's just humanity I guess….. 1

Was he ever taken to court though? Maybe that's why he was never taken down. It takes a few clicks to know. In summary this happened: Quote In September 1994, the investigation closed after the Chandlers declined to cooperate, leaving the case without its main witness. The allegations damaged Jackson's public image, health, and commercial standing. Several of his endorsement deals were canceled, including his decade-long Pepsi endorsement. Further allegations of abuse by Jackson led to the People v. Jackson trial in 2005, in which Jackson was found not guilty on all charges. I wasn't alive in the 90s, but I remember in the 00s in popular culture and entertainment Michael Jackson was the equivalent of PDF.file. Here just an example 3
tshwark Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Wade Robson was interrogated by experienced prosecutors when he testified in favor of Michael Jackson, and none of them could break him or detect any lies. Therefore, what he says now that Jackson is dead holds no value. MJ was found not guilty, and that carries more weight than the opinions of frustrated people typing away on their keyboards. 3

Wade Robson isn't the only person claiming MJ molested him. 1 1

I know you're trying to deflect and make her preying on very young teenage boys seem less controversial in comparison, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was on that same type of time as Michael 2
Slap Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He was a cult leader and when you really listen to his lyrics of the songs that he wrote - he has absolutely nothing to say aside from a bunch of useless ramblings like "save the kids" which is ironic considering he was investigated for child abuse from as early as the 1980s by the FBI. His remaining fans are the type of people who still stan Chris Brown, they're welcome to their delusions but I'm not going to engage with people like that. 1 6
