Don't set up the good sis like that, it's not revealed yet. I think Addison might take #1. After all I was told that her #54 peaking hit, Diet Pepsi, is a modern classic and masterpiece, so I'm sure she has more accomplishments than both Bey and Taylor combined

She has the numbers, the hits, the diverse catalogue, the conversation starting albums, epic performances. No one should be mad at this. And she's done this all consistently since the start of the 21st century solo and in a group.

Surprised? No. Most of her career has been inflating her standing beyond what it actually is through pr

Some people will cry about it but the title is for greatest of the 21st century, not the greatest right now this moment. She has seamlessly adapted to every change and evolution of the industry since 2000, there is literally no other artist who has done that or could do that as well as she has.

Not one bit! She undoubtedly deserves it more than anyone else.

Confused as to why this is turning into a Taylor vs Beyoncé situation for some people... no matter how much you personally prefer Taylor over Beyoncé, you can't be THAT biased...

No, I'm not surprised. I don't agree with everybody on this list, but this seems solid. Taylor has said many times how she has been inspired by Beyonce. Bey has had a longer career. And a black woman having that kind of longevity in her music career in the 21st century is amazing.

They're now posting their top pop stars list of every year and basically only count Taylor as one since 1989 era, Bey makes way more sense for #1 considering her bonafide A-list pop star status since DIL and hasn't stopped being A-list ever since.

I meannnnn... Who else? No one comes close to her when it comes to impact, inovation, iconography, influence and longevity. Fans of the other girl misunderstood the concept of this list and deluded themselves into giving her more importance than she has as they usually do. Beyoncé is the defining star of our generation.

Period. Some people seem to forget that she's the only artist who was hot in 2000 that is still popping. Out of all of them - Britney, Alicia, P!nk, J.Lo, Xtina, Justin Timberlake, Usher etc - she's the only one who is still topping charts and competing with newer artists. Her longevity is remarkable.

no, not surprised. they made the right call by giving it to the star who's been at the top of her game since the start of the century.

Taylor deserved her #2 as well and it's very impressive that she's in the #1 conversation, even though her pop career is half as long.

Well if the choice between the #1 and #2 was her or taylor, i'm glad they gave it to her, it's much more deserved.

Sales only don't make you the greatest popstar, not like Beyonce hasn't had massive commercial success, but still less than taylor for fact.

But if we look at the All-Time list Taylor, Rihanna, Drake and Adele are above her…. Lol

Beyonce was quick to cut Billboard that check to distract from the bomb she had this year :clap3:

Only one is considered a Queen, so there really is no surprise. We just thought it would go to Taylor since nowadays the praise Taylor gets for the very limited talent she has knows no bounds. Justice was served by Billboard :clap3:

And before anyone says sth: Bey will prove her undeniable status this Christmas :-*

Well no but Taylor's dad certainly did buy the first 100k copies of her debut album to 'kickstart' her career. :bird:

i wasn't expecting it but I'm glad they made the right choice :clap3: i love Taylor as a musician and songwriter, but she's not a greater pop star than Beyoncé. Beyoncé's vision of what a pop superstar should be is without a doubt the best version of it that we've seen this century: the otherworldly talent, the boundless creative ambition, the unflinchingly political social commentary, the uncontested status as pop music's consummate performer, the ability to resonate with the general masses on one hand and the highly esteemed music/art critic world on the other hand, the sheer longevity in and of itself… it's all there :jonny5:there really was no other answer.

this post alone deserves a thread :clap3:

Jay Z is working well... let´s see when the sh**** will revealed. She is great in all that she does but i fear that most is manufactured by her husband. And it`s a pitty, she is talented enough....

She's been with JayZ since the beginnings of her solo career and the apprarent universal praise she gets starts appearing after self titled in 2013 so why she isn't being revered all the way through? Something doesn't add in your logic. What is more believable is that after investing more on quality and taking risks that were remarkable within the industry she's basically collecting her flowers. Why do u think she can only be respected in such manner because of a man? I'm not even saying JayZ have nothing to with it, he clearly helped but not in this malicious way you are implying. So sexist.
