Space Cowboy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Thoughts? Should he change the word? Or it's not that serious?
Damien M Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Wow I actually didn't know the "e-" word was a slur. Now I know
Uncatena Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Unfortunately, this is one of those words that a LOT of people don't know isn't welcomed by indigenous folks. Even though they've been talking about for a while, indigenous voices are so silenced that it doesn't come through often. I doubt Kendrick knew that it's considered a slur. He should be open to the critique, learn and apologize. 7 1
X~MoviePoP Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Tbh, i didnt even know this. I swear this word is in the history books and was used by historians? Was it always never welcomed by natives or is it only recently
willmcclure9 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Didn't know the E word was a slur, good to know now though.
Colmillo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Didn't now it was a slur, but that reminds me of a show I watched when I was little called Skimo, I miss being a kid

StayFrosty Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I googled it and it says it's an exonym. Someone give me a source that's not twitterpedia.
byzantium Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Obviously good to learn but this is the least of our worries at the moment.
Brikenbur Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I feel like we need to tell The Smithsonian and have National Geographic edit many of their specials
commander Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've read about Greenlandic native history and they don't **** around with that word. They indeed see it as something as derogatory as the f or the n word 1
havewemet Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Maybe it's because the conversation is more culturally relevant in Canada but we've known not to use it for a long time now.
l3disko Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago I always said Inuit anyway, but I didn't know that was a slur. As a kid teachers taught us about E-words and their igloos. I wonder if they still do. 1
