Space Cowboy Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Thoughts? Should he change the word? Or it's not that serious?

Damien M Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Wow I actually didn't know the "e-" word was a slur. Now I know 6
Popular Post Uncatena Posted November 26 Popular Post Posted November 26 Unfortunately, this is one of those words that a LOT of people don't know isn't welcomed by indigenous folks. Even though they've been talking about for a while, indigenous voices are so silenced that it doesn't come through often. I doubt Kendrick knew that it's considered a slur. He should be open to the critique, learn and apologize. 34 4
X~MoviePoP Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Tbh, i didnt even know this. I swear this word is in the history books and was used by historians? Was it always never welcomed by natives or is it only recently 3
willmcclure9 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Didn't know the E word was a slur, good to know now though.
Colmillo Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Didn't now it was a slur, but that reminds me of a show I watched when I was little called Skimo, I miss being a kid

StayFrosty Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I googled it and it says it's an exonym. Someone give me a source that's not twitterpedia. 1
byzantium Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Obviously good to learn but this is the least of our worries at the moment.
Brikenbur Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I feel like we need to tell The Smithsonian and have National Geographic edit many of their specials
Popular Post commander Posted November 26 Popular Post Posted November 26 I've read about Greenlandic native history and they don't **** around with that word. They indeed see it as something as derogatory as the f or the n word 15
havewemet Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Maybe it's because the conversation is more culturally relevant in Canada but we've known not to use it for a long time now. 1
l3disko Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I always said Inuit anyway, but I didn't know that was a slur. As a kid teachers taught us about E-words and their igloos. I wonder if they still do. 1

Lethal Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) I'm a Cherokee Native American and I don't find this offensive. Love his new album! People reaching as usual. If you're white sit this and your faux virtue signaling outrage out. Edited November 26 by Lethal 1 4 2 2
