How did Liddos go from being one of the most dedicated bases to one of the laziest?

Gaga's latest album debuted at #20 with only 25K sales. It's Gaga's lowest debut on the chart for a full album.

Gaga's lead single for her next album failed and made no noise

And they couldn't even push DWAS to #1 despite the numbers being so close and gaga pulling stunts

Spoiler

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With a Smile" holds for a fourth week at its No. 2 Hot 100 high. During the tracking week, instrumental acoustic and sped-up versions were released (Nov. 20), with all versions discounted to 69 cents in the iTunes Store. (Along with its original version, acoustic, instrumental and "Live in Las Vegas" mixes were released prior to the latest tracking period.)

The difference was only 1-3 points; they could have secured the top spot with just like 2,000 more sales. If this were Nicki, her devoted, cult-like fanbase would have movilized and easily generated an extra 20,000 sales.

So, why have the Little Monsters, once one of the most devoted fanbases out there, become so lazy and uninterested in supporting Gaga in the charts?

Have they grown older and moved on? Has the fanbase lost enthusiasm due to the lack of compelling releases? Discuss.

They made it go #1 on the GLOBAL 200 chart so that's more than enough power for ya Space Cowboy.

That was the GP checking for the new Bruno's :giraffe:

Reminder: Bruno currently has 6 songs on the Spotify Global 200, while Gaga's lead single is OUT from the chart in less than a month.

We grew up, got jobs and a life. We're not obsessed teenage girls/gays

I still buy all of her physical stuff, will def attend her tour (which most likely will be a success) but i don't have the energy or time to flood a song 24/7, being online all day long and live through her... i'm sure the same can be said for most of her other fans.

People mature and grow up. As you age, you have less free time in your life and spamming your fave's new single becomes a lower priority.

Not the OP that's for sure. Imagine thinking you'll be as invested as you were when you were 16-18, like, bit cringe if you ask me

So what the comments are telling me is that Gaga has failed to reach a new audience

The monsters grew up and the new generations don't care

So JFAD flopped because of Joaquin. Thanks for clarifying that Space Cowboy!

It went #1 on the global top 200. As much as I do enjoy Disease, it was released too close to Halloween and needed a lot of promo that it didn't get.

People are dragging, but OP is right

"LG6.5" couldn't go Top 20, nobody bought the DWAS Variants, and then Disease' chart performance and streams :ducky:

Gaga's JFAD gigantic flop has nothing to do with the current discussion :spin:

This thread wasn't even intended to be shady. I was simply stating facts and asking why Little Monsters' dedication to Gaga seems to have faded. It's a genuine question. No need to be on the defensive.

The fact that DWAS went #1 on global 200, and the fact that it got so close in points, PLUS it actually being #1 in consumption, proves it did deserve the #1.

So it really was missing some fanbase download push to overcome the airplay deficit. And yes the Barbz would never have let this happen.

she sold herself to acting & the pharmacutical companies, in the process abandoned the OG lady gaga & her hardcore base

Why are you worried about 143 era as an alleged Taylor stan?

Wasn't it rolling out in the summer too?

Certain fanbases grow up while others grow tired of lackluster music.

Had DWAS gone #1 you wouldn't have attributed it to Gaga's fanbase any way. :cm:

Yet the liddos had the golden opportunity, and likely the last chance, to help a song she was featured in reach #1, but they simply didn't care.

Variants were released and discounts were made, but her base simply ignored those. I'm just trying to understand why :celestial5:

I kinda get the 'growing up' thing, since most might be over 25 by this point, but the fact they couldn't care about pushing Harlequin into the top 10 speaks volumes about how dispersed is the fanbase right now
