Sufjan Stevens - "Michigan" 

 

This was the first one that came to mind. The others I can think of are simply named after places, but the songs aren't necessarily related from what I can tell nn (Joanna Newsom's "Ys" and Rachael Yamagata's "Chesapeake).

DAMN, I was hoping nobody would beat me to it! 

 

Haha, this would also be my pick. I've listened to this album front-to-back and side-to-side over the years. It's helped me through some really rough patch, and it was also the album that made me fall deeply in love with Sufjan as an artist.
