trainsskyscrapers Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago No.? Beychella was Beyoncé at her best on 95% of all facets: live performance, DC reunion where all three members had moments to truly shine, uplifting the Black community, choreography, a world-stopping moment, quality merch, Grammy/Emmy attention, and the best example of B the musical archivist*. (*She paid homage to MJ, Quincy Jones, Nina Simone, The Wiz, ten-to-fifteen 60s-80s acts across disco, funk, New Orleans hip-hop, and reggae, another 15-20 modern rap acts, and Cameo / Maze.) However, if Kennedy Center Honors, Glastonbury, Roseland, her Stevie / MJ tributes, and Renaissance World Tour opening set are any indication, I think that remaining 5% (Best Vocal) is still yet to come. I also have to hedge a little bit: like Beychella... you never know what future greatness you'll get with a Beyoncé who is rested, has something to prove, and is able to work in silence: Beychella, her "Be Alive" Oscars Performance, Black Is King, Renaissance, Cowboy Carter.... and her Christmas performance / visuals / Act III?
Fleahive Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Did y'all forget the virality of the epic Dubai performance? It was all over the internet and yall were all humming it. You know what I'm talking about. 2018 Beyoncé could never hit them notes and neither can your faves past or present. Edited 4 hours ago by Fleahive
