What's the most interesting pop girl outside of her music?

We all know there are a lot pop stars that sometimes makes very interesting music with complex lyrics, experimental sounds and non conventional structures and textures that put them away from the mainstream pop that's all over the radio.

But artists can also be interesting outside of the music they made. Just like having another ventures, studying, their lifestyles and even coming from different backgrounds and cultures make them interesting -that could translate into their art or not-. But who are the most interesting pop stars out there aside of speaking on their music?

Taylor Swift tbh

Eco terrorism would be such a cool topic in her biopic 10 years from now.

Lana is so fascinating to me. How did this girl in upstate New York develop such a rich imagination, with deep philosophical curiosity and willingness to embody endless references from across American culture? Her backstory going to the boarding school and Fordham, her drama with her mom, her messiness on social media, etc all culminating in marrying a random redneck crocodile tour boat operator. She is just so mysterious and truly one of a kind.

Dua: book club, pretty serious podcast (some big hitters been interviewed by her), very aware of the political world around her, foodie, dual background Kosovo/London ( lived in both as a child), and she's fully bilingual.

Wouldn't be shocked long term if she did something in politics.

It has to be a messy girlie basicallly lol I don't want to just list off my faves, but for real Britney, Whitney, and Lana take the cake with this one. Their minds are lowkey an enigma to me. Taylor, her life is interesting, and I just love her, but I think her motives and reactions are much clearer and logical than the previously mentioned girlies. :pancake:

I made this thread thinking about Shakira. The way she was born in Colombia, didn't knew English at all and she managed to be one of the most successful, awarded and beloved pop stars around the world just by searching up at the dictionary to have one of the most successful and huge crossovers of all time!

Also, the way she has a high af IQ, has a very serious vision about politics and even with all her money she's still humble and pretends to be a normal person all of the time. She's just a treasure for me

Shakira life story is honestly something very unique and highly inspiring even when ATRL loves to downplay her.
They dont know how impressive Shakira is.........I would love a memoir a biopic from her :gaycat2:
Specially cause she's from the developing-third world. She's really a rag to riches story.
I think Rihanna and Shakira life story are the most impressive from the popgirls cause they had everything against them.
They were not nepo babies in some of the centers of the entertainment world
They fought hard for their dreams and they landed farther than expected :giraffe:

SHAKIRA LIFE STORY
Random girl from a small caribbean city in southamerica with bankrupted family
Worked hard in her childhood-teenhood around the city to help her family and signed a record deal
Record deal unsuccessful (two flop records) (Magia Peligro)
she moved to the biggest and most dangerous city of her country (Bogota) lookin for opportunities and worked in menial jobs and landed an actress role randomly
The soap opera was mocked and she was near to be dropped by her label too and she was strugglin
Recorded a song in a taxi and it saved her career (Donde Estas Corazon)
Label gave her a chance with small expectations and she recorded her debut album Pies Descalzos
Latinoamerican Phenomenon just with a guitar and her lyrics. Something never seen before in the latino spheres
Then.....The International Crossover happened and she went GLOBAL.
With her intelligence she was able to land more hits-keep smashing in a racist xenophobia american-anglo industry and sustain her career 4 decades? 90s-2000s-2010s-2020s
Married a Spanish Football Player and he was a wolf in sheeps clothing and stole money from her and betrayed her and traumatized her and damaged her career
Had a big vendetta-comeback with her last album like a Phoenix
Now She's re-staring her life again and is loved and acclaimed by everyone. Even legends like beyonce-taylor swift love her. :giraffe:

In recent years, we've seen Lady Gaga portray a more refined, kind, and classy persona, but her past is undeniably dark. She endured so much before her fame and even during the early years of her meteoric rise to stardom.

There's an air of mystery around her family and their background. Despite being highly successful entrepreneurs, there's something about their story that feels shady. the fact that she was raised in the "Pythian Temple," a Masonic building, is intriguing and a bit unsettling. Gaga has also mentioned a deeply traumatic experience from her childhood related to her family, though she refuses to go into detail. Curious about that

Her art has always carried hints of her pain—like her cryptic abortion reference in Marry the Night, which was only understood years later. There are so many layers of secrets to her story. :gaycat4:

And let's not forget Beyoncé. Behind the golden, "perfect" image she projects, I believe there's a world of hidden drama and untold stories. Beyoncé is incredibly smart and has managed to keep those secrets locked away, but given her marriage to Jay-Z and their billionaire status, I think her life must have its fair share of wild and crazy situations. :gaycat3:

Dua's low-key probably so much more interesting than you'd think from her music. Very well-traveled and worldly, and seems to have a rich, fulfilled life

At this point, in large part thanks to social media, most pop girlies don't really seem that interesting as people.

Mylène Farmer is intriguing because she tends to keep her mouth shut and isn't on social media.
