Disney's live-action/animated fantasy musical film 'Enchanted' was released on November 21, 2007. It marked 17 years since release a few days ago!

A homage and a self-parody of Disney's animated films, it starred Amy Adams as an archetypal to-be Disney Princess along with Patrick Dempsley, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Susan Sarandon, and many more!

The movie featured many references to previous Disney works. It also was the first Disney movie to contain traditional animation, since its studios moved to computer animation in 2004.

'Enchanted' was a hit, receiving a positive response and making over $340M at the box office. The soundtrack, produced and written by Disney legends Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, was also a hit with fan-favorite songs like "That's How You Know" and "So Close".

The movie is credited for establishing Amy Adams as a leading lady in Hollywood. It won three Saturn Awards; Best Fantasy Film, Best Actress for Amy Adams, and Best Music for Alan Menken. Menken and Stephen Schwartz were nominated for Best Original Song at the 2008 Oscars, for the songs "That's How You Know", "Happy Working Song", and "So Close".  Furthermore, Adams was nominated for Best Actress (Motion Picture Musical/Comedy) and "That's How You Know" was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2008 Golden Globes.

17 years later, 'Enchanted' continues to be a Disney fan-favorite, modern day classic, and one of the best Disney movies of the 21st century! :heart2:
