If you think about it, APT. is a co-ed K-Pop song.

Co-ed K-Pop is a rarity even in the K-Pop world for various reasons (KARD is the closest to getting locally & internationally recognized but even they are struggling).

With APT. being a smash hit, will this convince companies to invest in co-ed groups or at least co-ed KPop collabs?

Discuss.

What is "co. ed." ??

It's a great formulaic pop song for sure. It has the hit factor down to a science.

Is it not a duet?… there's no shortage of those

Parasocial fanboys and fangirls freak out if an idol so much as glances at someone of the opposite gender, and you think they're going to form co-ed groups?  :ahh:

Co-Ed groups were more normal in the 90s but I don't think fans like them very much since the late 2000s. Before KARD I can only remember Co-Ed School being (kinda) relevant and they eventually split up into boy and girl groups.

co-ed is "mixed gender"

KPop rarely has mixed-gender collabs and the ones that do aren't even popular even locally.

Oh I forgot Sunny Hill was Co-Ed too but eventually the male member left and they became a girl group.

Doesn't hurt to dream. I used to listen to Koyote. :}

Spoiler

Also, the heat will lessen (a bit) if the male members are LGBT.

Okay. Then let's call it "mixed-gender" KPop and leave it at that.
