Mordecai Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Artists rely on tours more than ever for their music to turn a profit, and artists who have successful tours, especially legacy acts, are seen as in demand even if they are past their peak. What goes into making someone a successful touring/legacy act and allows them to sell tickets for years on end, especially when they are no longer as commercially relevant?

Well they are commercially relevant. The money's in touring. Charts wise maybe not of course, but in a sense these days the charts are there to build up a catalogue of hits that can sustain you touring for a few years, not the other way round. Think you need to be able to put on a good show so live singing and performance skills become a must. 3
