That's the point. We're in agreeance? The point is that people are not boycotting the movie because of her or that people are seeing it because she has some magical gravitas, but simply because they WANT to see because it's based on one of the most popular musicals ever  It's the exact same situation that happens with Harry Potter.

honestly the promotional campaign has been incredible. i've seen almost all interviews just because of how passionate everyone on that team seems. honestly ariana might be my 2nd fave after taylor now

I think she did really good, but we should be realistic and really wait to see. I don't want us getting J.Lo'd.

 

Oscar season hasn't even started yet and there's way more heavy hitters yet to be revealed.

How anyone could watch Wicked and think she's SUPPORTING is crazy to me. It's HER movie and she's in almost every scene.

I watched the movie. It centers on Cynthia's character 100%. Ariana's character is definitely a supporting but with many screentime, kinda like Ken in Barbie.

The only other potential contender left that hasn't been seen is  "A Complete Unknown". Everything else has either already released or was seen in the film festival circuit. Doubtful we'll see any other major contenders show up at this point in the race.
