It should not be surprising to anyone, Katy is a huge celebrity known by most people. You can flop and sell out your tour tickets without any issues. The music market and touring are two completely different things and we've seen manyyyyy artists doing good on their tour despite bombing with their new releases. It's getting easier and easier to tour for artists and numbers are also much bigger these days.

The touring market is so saturated at this point, consumers will pay anything. This good for Katy, no doubt, but post covid we are seeing unprecedented levels of concert attendance and prices…

Yep, the touring market is at its highest right now, but you still need to be a household name with a lot of hits and be respected as a performer to sell a tour outside the USA.

Many artists who are doing arenas in the US right now can't bring their tours on a global scale because they don't have enough demand to do it. That's why they end doing festivals or just don't visit certain regions.

I can't see Kesha, Selena Gomez, Christina, Mariah and more selling shows outside the US like she's doing, apart from 2-3 random shows.

ngl the rollout of the tour is smart because she's creating hype in other countries. Instead of releasing the whole schedule and having haters focus only on the bad dates to create fake narratives. :clap3:

Off topic but it's So weird how ppl will pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for a concert ticket but not a 20 dollar album or even stream for free :rip:  143 is not even that bad

then again arena sizes are anywhere 16k to 20k so I guess it's not that much but still

they're buying the ticket for her hits lol

You both are so right! Just think of the way the crowd shouted those lines at Rock in Rio... ooh it feels so iconic! Can't wait for my turn:flame:

Remind how michael jackson history world tour were, the demand for the female self is mirrored international domination while news/media/OKH mass buy tickets for scrappers.

This. You all need to realize that artists who left a big mark in the industry like Katy can sell out for the rest of their lives without lifting a finger.

Chances are, most of the people going don't even know that albums like Smile or 143 exist, or how is their reputation within the stan world.

She's still a powerful name. If she were less dumb she would be on top
