I love thriller a lot but honestly as far as 80s pop records go, Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush clears it pretty easily.

Janet definitely.

Also Madonna, Adele, Björk, Britney Spears (Blackout) and Mariah Carey.

Please include Rihanna as an option.

An image of a silver statue wearing a military-like outfit with its hair clipped behind its head. To the left of the statue the words "MICHAEL JACKSON" are written in white letters and underneath them is "HISTORY PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE BOOK I" written in smaller white print. Behind the statue, a sky with black and red clouds can be seen.

my fav album by a white woman

Really any Janet album from RN to AFY.

Blackout and to a lesser degree teenage dream are as good if not better pop albums than thriller

I only really love off the wall and dangerous. Most of his albums just sound like greatest hits compilations with zero cohesion. Especially bad and thriller. Janet made albums Michael made hit songs. history and Botdf sound like dangerous knock offs but not as good. Invisible has some great tracks but has WAY too much filler.

The Who's That Girl soundtrack alone clears Thriller

Madonna, Beyoncé and Kate Bush are the only correct answers :clap3:

I just listened to this album for the first time 2 days ago. I already knew like 7 of the 9 songs. Our faves aren't touching that album sorry.

Many artists have. Thriller is not a good album and for only being like 8 or 9 tracks long it's very filler heavy.

I'm not the biggest fan of thriller but saying it's filler heavy is  a bit of a reach. One filler was that god awful song with Paul. Lady in my though should've ended about a minute earlier. The rest were bangers

Yeah that album is so overrated just because it sold a billion records 😂 I wouldn't say it is bad though but that's not even MJ's best album. Dangerous >>>

I enjoy Thriller but it is not even top three in his discography. Bad, Off the Wall and Dangerous are much better than Thriller.

once again, my fav is not on the poll while she released masterpieces that are stanned & can't even be reached & by some artists in the poll.

Thriller is a great album, but it's not as perfect as its incredibly high sales count would imply. He outdid himself with Dangerous.

Most of Janet's albums are stronger than Thriller to be honest.

They need to be remembered also, though.

OT: I don't think anyone from that list really reached Thriller in any kind of way. Maybe Janet's Rhythm Nation?

Lorde too, especially if the thread is about masterpiece albums. I mean do we really need to remember Katy Perry in such a thread for example? What you say applies for other artists too.
