smaller european countries use threads. twitter wasn't popular in these countries like ever, most popular local artists and influs use threads only.

Good. All the dark UX tactics Elmo and his team have implemented have made the site insufferable to use. Plus it's nice since there aren't any ads and minimal bots at the moment.

Ot: Bsky is basically what people want - old twitter. Threads is not, it's basically IG for text posts, it doesn't even do threaded view right (Bsky added an option for it last week and does it better nn) and the algorithm throttles any kind of breaking news - which is what made twitter so successful in the first place.

 

Not to mention their user count is inflated because they sneakily put Threads posts on FB/IG timelines and any time sombody clicks on them, they get recorded as a new user. It was a matter of time Bsky overtakes it with active users, the engagement is already way higher than on Threads and is even on par with Xitter for some despite much lower user count overall

I keep seeing pern creators on my twitter timeline posting their BlueSky account, its getting there!

I love Blusky! I have been able to curate my feed to how I like and follow a lot of mutuals from twitter, while also meeting brand new people. A lot of artists, video gamers + with a mix of pop stans ect ect. I haven't even thought about twitter since i deactivated. Once you're on Bluesky you notice how peaceful and more positive it is.
