NewStanner Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Let's take a closer look at these two #2 peaking hits... Both songs are singles from two of the biggest female eras of 2020s They took quite some time to finally peak (20 weeks for BOAF, 42 for Snooze) Both reached #2 in October, blocked behind huge, year-defining hits (PTTR and ABS) They were like 20-40 points away from #1 when they were sitting at the runner up spot. Their runs at #2 (2 weeks for Snooze and 3 weeks for BOAF) were finished after a big #1 debut above (Drake and Morgan respectively) Then they spent weeks at #3 as another smash hit came (Cruel Summer / DWAS) The chances of going #1 were done when the pop radio dropped them harshly in November 1
Popboi. Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago No. BOAF was a smash right out of the gate and essentially killed the lead single, Snooze lived under the shadow of Kill Bill for a while. 2

Britney Spears Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I can find more similarities between Woman's World and Disease's chart trajectories, sis 1
Miley Cyrus Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) The fact that you compared Paint The Town Red and A Bar Song.... Edited 15 hours ago by Miley Cyrus 1

Surely there must be more similarities between a #63 - OUT run and 27 - 58 - 56 than what I provided in the OP 46 minutes ago, makeawish said: exactly this, if there are any parallels to be made it might possibly be with wildflower, which has just cracked the top 10 months later over here and seems to be heading in the same direction in america. but even then, it's not there yet I definitely see the WILDFLOWER's comparisons too

whatyouwant_ Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago BOAF is her Kill Bill WILDFLOWER her Snooze CHIHIRO her Nobody Gets Me i always had a feeling about the similarities of the 2 albums. Also both having a BLUE cover, its crazy.
Ger Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I can see the chart similarities actually. People tend to forget how huge "Snooze" was, it was not just a quick lil Top 10 hit, it was very big. Nevertheless, BOAF is bigger for sure.
NewStanner Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago @Britney Spears still waiting for that response. I mean, you said you could easily find more Hot 100 chart runs similarities between WW and Disease, so... I pointed out what was really weirdly similar between Snooze and BOAF (the fact that the songs reached #2 on the same month, were dropped on pop radio the same month as well, the DWAS/Cruel Summer situation being kinda identical too...), yet you laughed it off. But since you said so, I'm sure you'll find more points for these two as you said so. Come on, sis, don't keep me waiting

Kayseri Mantisi Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago uncanny: strange or mysterious, especially in an unsettling way. "an uncanny feeling that she was being watched"
