NOW Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Lana's longtime guitarist Blake Lee does an interview for his own solo music release, talks about meeting Lana at around the 30 min mark: https://www.totallyradio.com/shows/the-keep-slack-album-club/episodes/the-keep-slack-album-club-blake-lee-no-sound-in-space Discovered her through Video Games, which he and his mom both loved Got connected to Lana through Byron, Lana's pianist Lana originally wanted subtle synths and not live guitars for her live shows First live show they played together was a secret show in Brooklyn in Fall 2011 Thinks she's one of the fastest writers he's worked with; only needed 1-2 takes to record a song Ultraviolence had to be whittled down from 40 songs, and all the demos sounded very good She has a tendency to say no if something doesn't feel right; prefers to let things happen naturally and organically Hopes the unreleased songs can see official release along with Flipside on streaming
RideOrDie Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago and the body electricians will be begging for rest of the vault to be delivered till the end of time
SupremeGoddess Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago not having flipside on streaming is such a major crime. legitimately one of the best songs in her career should've have been in the standard instead of filler my way to the bottom 6

alexrex Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wasn't enough for Taylor Swift to steal from Lana's (and Hilary Duff) artistry and lyricism, but also her release ideas

He probably meant she had enough strong material that it could've been a whole separate album...me thinks she was just over the whole UV era by the time of its release that she quickly moved onto the Honeymoon sessions. He's right though, almost everything that leaked since then sounded great.
