Dua Lipa - 'Live from the Royal Albert Hall'

Ugh ok hearing these amazing live arrangements re-angers me about how half-assed RO was.... Imagine if TS and FF, for example, had those vocal-only last choruses for dramatic affect? All these sweeping Cresendos throughout all songs?

They played RO so safe and lazy with how they could have elevated every single song... Wow

Anyway, LOVE this. This is the best part of the era hands down

I am so biased because I attended the show. I love everything about it. I hear so many small details in the arrangements I couldnt grasp being there.

Songs like Maria and Illusion got a major facelift.

Songs like Whatcha Doing and French Exit got a little more 'character'

Houdini, Love Again and Training Season are songs that sound amazing in any arrangement.

The cover of Sunshine is beautiful,  Be The One is just timeless.

Cold Heart is a cute extra and so special to have him on such a monumental show in Dua's career. Like how Kevin was present for Glastonbury.

I can rave about this for hours :smitten:

They killed with the live arrangements this feels like the highlight of the era. So glad she decided to release this as an album.

i'm not even halfway through and these live arrangements are GREAT, i wish they would incorporate some small bits into the tour like the strings in the second verse of training season are great (how to love me right @  1:38)

the boppery! can't wait to hear what they did with the rest of the RO songs

I enjoy these new arrangements in these songs glad she released this as album :clap3:

so much for atrl want to see her fade away but sure her talent won't fade away

Falling Forever is amazing live and is the standout for me :jonny5: this truly is an amazing live album. Houdini, TS, Sunshine, Watcha Doing, French Exit, Illusion, Maria, Happy For You, Love Again, Pretty Please, Be The One, and Dance The Night all ate too. End of An Era and DSN were euphoric as the opening/closing songs with the buildup and crowd cheering

Oh wow, the RO tracks really came alive with these arrangements. She did it again. This is like her covid Tiny Desk concert all over again. Love it. Love her.

Some of the songs got a bit of a face lift, some not. I appreciate the dramatic flare they tried to give Falling Forever, but still can't listen to it. These songs incorporate some of the magic that was missing from the original versions.

This is a nice moment for her, one of the best of the "era". Unfortunately, I don't think it will make many waves over here in the states, but prove me wrong Dua!

I prefer the RO songs on this version compared to the studio version. Loved the whole album.

Okay now wait a minute. I've only heard Dua Lipa in passing before, but this is one of the best live albums I've heard in a long time. The arrangements are absolutely amazing and she sounds flawless.

The drums on "Houdini" - shiiiit!

Whatcha doing was my least fav song from the album but this live version makes it top tier

Also big shout out for whoever did the mixing and sync of the tracks. The way the tracklisting and the actual show are in different orders at some points but if you don't know, you probably wouldnt notice.

:jonny6:

The CD is also pretty, listening on repeat
