Already Gone vs. Halo - Did Kelly overreact?

They're definitely similar and she was right to be upset. It's no shade to Bey either. She knew people would assume she ripped off Halo because Halo came out first. Though she probably made a big scene to make sure people knew the story.

I've been following producers my entire life being obsessed with music. It's something they all do. Make similar sounding songs. I don't understand how this situation was treated any differently.

already gone was the better song but something about it felt so much cheaper and less refined compared to halo maybe it's the vocal production or the drums idk
