ericcartman Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago At 18 weeks at #1, it's on the verge of breaking the record for most weeks at #1. Other songs that are up there are Despacito, Old Town Road, and One Sweet Day. Despacito combined the pop fanbase of Justin Bieber with the huge American Latino fanbase of Luis Fonsi. Old Town Road combined lil Nas X hip hop fans with Billie Ray Cyrus country fans. One Sweet Day saw Mariah AC fans and Boy II Men R&B fanbases join forces. A Bar Song does not have fanbases if two artist propelling it as it's a solo song. Does that make it more impressive? 1
PoisonPill Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The fact that it's a solo song from a previously-unknown artist does make it more impressive, because the success is entirely based off the strength of the song itself. 4
Burn Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Yes, and what's also impressive is that he's literally only released 1 version of the song. 2
glitch Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The chorus has a heavy interpolation of a well known club staple, it's a collab with nostalgia 1 4

OrgVisual Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Time to release that Beyonce remix for a few more weeks at #1 1 1
l3disko Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Not really Charts seems really weird nowadays. its like the same songs are at the top of the charts longer than they normally would ever be 1
AshleyLovescats887 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I don't stream men so this just slightly annoys me that they win 2
Erreur2 La Nature Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Obviously. The song is by far the biggest song of 2024 in the United States, its performance is completely crazy. It's a great song tbh 1
byzantium Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It's still number 1? It's like 15 on Spotify and Apple Music? Is radio really that influential?
dumbsparce Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It has all the makings of a one hit wonder. Have any of his other songs or his album been popping?

Which kinda knocks it down a peg or two on how impressive it is… to me. Like, it's impressive still…but it's a collab with nostalgia, like you said. This also came off the heels of the Beyonce features too…so that general buzz def helped.
