John Slayne Posted November 18 Posted November 18 the descent of Russia into one of the worst dictatorships on the planet since Putin took over is crazy. 5
AlanRickman1946 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Russian dancers paid tribute to Shklyarov after the news of his death broke, with Irina Baranovskaya calling his death "a stupid, unbearable accident" on Telegram. Baranovskaya said Shklyarov "went out onto the balcony to get some air and smoke" and "lost his balance" on the "very narrow balcony". _______ Did the balcony not have a railing?

Average Russians are powerless. There is nothing for them to do, the only way for things to change there is something like a foreign-sponsored military coup, which as history has shown, has a tendency to make things even worse. Russia is f***ed. 1

Russia is f***ed. That's what killed me when I saw some "accelerationists" on the left rooting for Trump to "own the dems" or whatever, because they think that he will make the institutions collapse and they will be able to have a revolution then or whatever. When in reality it's just gonna turn into this, inescapable hell where every branch of government is gutted and replaced with corrupt loyalists. Russia's current best case scenario is that Putin eventually dies and gets replaced by a similarly ruthless but isolationist dictator
Luckitty Posted November 19 Posted November 19 most powerful governments assassinate people all the time, including european countries & usa they just don't make it as obvious as russia does 2
