event Beyoncé performs at NFL Halftime Show on Xmas Day

Some of you are used to mediocre performers, so I assume you feel this is "too rehearsed" when you're supposed to rehearse for these big shows.

No one pulls these kinds of shows anymore unless you're Bey or Madonna, etc.

The lipsynching was overkill. Even on the Renaissance Tour she was able to make her lipsynched parts more believable. I don't know what happened here but it was too obvious.

 

I didn't care much for the performance because I don't like the album but Beyonce is always gonna give 1000%.

I enjoyed the performance but ngl that i expected something more bombastic. But that's on me and my expectations because she always sets the bar so high

 

Also, i wasn't a fan of the pre-recorded part. Starting with 16 Carriages felt a lil anticlimatic… should've started with YA YA that's pure high energy.

 

Other than that it was a pretty standard Beyoncé performance… which means excellence and a showcase of a perfect popstar

This was incredible. I have my own thoughts on using animals for entertainment (dancers standing on top of horses, really?) and I don't care much about the Jolene cover but everything else was immaculate. It was a surprise to see Blue Ivy doing the choreo as well.

If she sang it all live it would be one of the best performances ever, but she didn't sing it live so it kinda really draws it back. It doesn't go all the way there this way, but it's ok.

 

Still like many have said, this is a performance almost nobody else can pull off with very few exceptions so yeah. 

The scale of the performance was INSANE this has to be one of the most expensive performances ever  I guessing the budget came from Netflix and NFL so it makes sense, but still. So many dancers, people, so many props, the crew must've been HUGE etc.   She is such a LEGEND. Honestly the pre recorded bit was not necessarily in the beginning. I get it's like an intro, but yeah. 

I think she should've just incorporated 16 carriages into the performance itself and that's it.

I really want to see what she was planing to do with American Requiem. I do feel like the album deserves a tour or at least a residency so the rest of the songs can get their shine. 

Frankly a full Yaya performance is what dreams are made of.

Just watched the performance. Unsurprisingly, she's taking it. 

 

I was a bit surprised in the beginning. I thought the whole performance was gonna be "backstage" and was very confused. Didn't really care about that part tbh. But when she's actually performing live? Oh I'm living for it! The setlist was amazing and I always knew the live instrumentation of Yaya would not disappoint. The public was dead though and that bothered me (but maybe that's just the video and the actual crowd was more alive). I really enjoyed that it felt like a combination of her Coachella set and the Thanksgiving HT performance with DC, but make it the Cowboy Carter version.
