The superbowl has 120M viewers. Gotcha! And I just looked up that the Tyson/Paul fight is currently Netflix's most streamed live event at 60 million viewers. I don't know if I expect a Ravens/Texans game to drive that level of viewership on Netflix, even with Beyoncé's name attached so for right now I want to have a modest prediction of viewership about half of what the fight acquired; so I'm thinking around 30 mill.
jane Posted November 19 Posted November 19 (edited) Her moment will have more views than the game itself. Pretty much what happens at the Superbowl too. Their halftime has more views and it's normal because that's when most women and non fans of the sports will join in to watch the entertainment. The same will happen here, if the game is viewed by 20-25M, then i can see her halftime being 40M or close to that. One thing for sure, we are about to see for real the real power of her celebrity. Numbers dont lie and Netflix will also take notice. From there, nobody will be able to play with her name and pretend she is not that once in a lifetime entertainer. I'm also glad they came up with this second Halftime show, it's clever and it has JayZ/Rocnation all over it. Him and his company are now in charge of two major live events related to football and the impact will be huge with Beyoncé/Netflix combo. Just genius! Edited November 19 by jane 3 1

A completely sold out stadium tour isn't enough? I agree this is genius, but there's nothing left to prove imo. 1
mrmarrero Posted November 19 Posted November 19 she is doing all of this because she got nominated at the grammys, otherwise she wont raise a finger.

Do you think she organized all this in a couple of days? And she is always nominated at the Grammy's. Renaissance and Lemonade were also nominated 1nd she didn't do anything. This woman moves when she wants to move. 5
Feanor Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Excited to watch this. I wonder about the length of the show tho. The Super Bowl Halftime Show usually lasts ~13 minutes while the NFL Thanksgiving Halftime shows are 6-7 minutes. I don't think this will as long as the Super Bowl, cause the NFL will want that Halftime Show to remain the most important one, but I can see Beyoncé get 8-10 minutes of showtime.
loveisdead9582 Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Idk. Maybe she has a new project coming out? Do they normally do halftime shows at Christmas? I remember hearing about what happened at the thanksgiving day performance last year…

IDK, it's Beyonce, I feel like they'll give her 13 minutes if she wants it, especially since they're publicizing guests with her 1

I think that would be really exciting and I think the GP will be ready for a followup to Cowboy Carter in the spring in time for a summer tour.
TipToe Posted November 20 Posted November 20 I have a feeling the act II will only be finished by the Grammys time, so any act III announcement is going to take a lil longer to happen. Tour dates is more possible since it's common to put them on sale months in advance and a summer tour would be nice. I mean, if she is even announcing anything with this halftime show... she became unpredictable.
Kool_Aid_King Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 So a $600 ticket I saw two days ago is now on resale for $1200. This is insane.
Jay L Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Ok Mother Bey I will be streaming. Lemme alert my girls, gays, theys and straight men for a streaming party 1

Detailing Minute-to-Minute Viewership Totals for Super Bowl LV Usher actually caused a 6M viewer uptick but that's like, rare. People be changing the channel during HT lowkey 1

People be changing the channel during HT lowkey Be serious, it's Beyonce. Not to say she's all-powerful and that other metrics don't matter (because what you highlighted is very interesting), but I get the sense that this is an altogether different machine. They will promote tf out of it and it's globally accessible in a way like never before due to the streaming aspect. American football is literally not a "thing" outside of North America, where soccer dominates. So, while the data shared accurately reflects US viewership/viewing patterns, the global pull here will almost exclusively be for Bey. On the most global streaming service, Netflix. There is a lot of potential for this to be a thing-thing. Especially with it being on Christmas Day, families together, and people already group watching everything from games to movies etc.
