Another example is Kanye. He has some of the most acclaimed and culturally relevant albums of the century, yet most of his projects in the last couple of years have been panned.

Oh boy this list could be extensive for me but the 2 most obvious ones:

 

• I was a huge Black Eyed Peas fan until The Beginning, but by that era, it was becoming very evident they were had given up any semblance of good lyricism for trendy EDM beats and generic platitudes like "live it up! rock it out!". will.i.am really went off the deep end later on and they stopped releasing music - their music w/o Fergie recently was trash and had the same problems as The Beginning
• I also generally always supported and looked forward to M5 until I'd say around the V era, which is when I reallly started noticing their dip in quality and creativity, and that the band was basically becoming a front for Adam's solo career. I absolutely hate(d) "Sugar" which didn't help things. They REALLY jumped the shark on Red Pill Blues, though, and everything after that was hot garbage. "Girls Like You" is an atrocity.

Pretty true. No one is consistent like Taylor. Most artists stop being great after their 2nd album.
