SoldierofLove Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Cynthia Erivo said: Now, between the years of 2001 and 2002, there simply was not enough brilliance in the world You see, planet Earth was in dire need of bad b*tch replenishment A trio, ready to receive the baton passed on by the likes of Destiny's Child, the Sugababes, SWV And countless other iconic baddies of the past And thus, in the fateful year of 2019, a pact was formed, a promise was made, a movement began They've released a fantastic album but they haven't captured the attention of the GP. First day streams on Spotify are just ok: Will ATRL gays commit to supporting the girls and listen to their debut album?
smartalek22 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago English language groups were never gonna work in 2024. 1
New Edition Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Kpop took over the girl group market but now even Kpop is dying
glitch Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The reason they haven't taken off is they didn't release a song that sounded like a surefire hit when there was a lot of buzz around them. Fly Girl came close (and actually went top 40 in the UK). What they really needed was a song like Lose My Breath. Also just after Fly Girl they went quiet and dropped an EP with no fanfare and waited a whole other year to release their album's lead single. You can't afford to take breaks like that in the streaming era when you're just starting out. The album is solid but it should've been out either in place of The Lead or right after Fly Girl.

Princess Aurora Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago They're amazing but the group name isn't the best choice

Would an English language group named "EXO" somehow work? Maybe a quarter century ago with the likes of N'Sync. Not now, actually no new English groups work whatsoever now.
