ericcartman Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago GaGa has had plenty of hits past her imperial phase but she has also had plenty of flops. This goes for many fields. She has had hit pop songs (Rain on me) and flop pop songs (Stupid Love, Disease). She has hit AC ballads (Shallow) but also flops (Hold My Hand). Hit movies (ASIB) but also flop movies (JFAD). Hit jazz (Cheek to Cheek) but also flop jazz (Harleyquin) Even in her peak, she had her share of flops such as Judas. As opposed to someone like Legendtina or Katy where everything is flop after their peak. Or someone like Taylor where everything is pretty much hit. Disclaimer: this is not a troll thread. Haters keep your "all i see is misses" to yourself! 1 1
Solar Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Life's like this babes + I feel she's not as calculated as some may think, or as some of her peers are.
kellebrity98 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) she did zero promotion for the song, also it made low buzz on tiktok and without that is very hard to get a hit nowadays. it's not 2010, no one cares about jimmy kimmel performance, snl or anything tv related, some millennials may buy it on itunes but in 2024 that's just a water drop in the ocean. maybe the wednesday cameo will feature disease with a dance coreo like the bloody mary one and it will rise. Doctor Dick Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Gaga is really looking like the Cher of her generation. Cher as well has had a bumpy career but remained relevant and scoring both hits and flops for decades. Gaga's got a devoted fanbase to catapult her name whenever it gets mentioned or she releases music and from then it's easier for the GP to notice and decide whereas other acts like Katy or Xtina had lost so many fans that whenever they release something it just doesn't get outside of the little fandom they have left and the floppage also makes the brand suffer. Spicy Pisces Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Might as well just come to the base and share all your concerns, must be tiring to create multiple threads and copy-paste the same disclaimer 2
Mrnoniee Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) You mean Hit in 2009,10,11 and then Miss in 2012,13,14,15,16,17,19,20,21,22,23,24 This is called a Declining Relevancy/Hasbeen not hit or miss --- She's EXTREMELY unpopular amongst Gen Z and that's fine for popstars like hers just enjoy whatever Gaga's been putting out without focusing on charts Edited 2 hours ago by Mrnoniee 2 2 5
David_Greengrass97 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Because her team doesn't do their job right, hun. ROM got Ariana team to help and Arianators support. I just wanna make it clear that Stupid Love is not a flop like you claimed. It was in top 5 bb100, we got Radio and merch, physical cd all at once (correct me if I'm wrong) despite the fact that it was leaked a month ago. Shallow got supported thanks for ASIB success and it's GP friendly and relatable. JK2FAD is massive flop, yes because Todd Phillips film vision doesn't meet what incels and hard core fans expected and she's just an actress, she can't control what they did in the editing room. But of course, her image attached to it, so they blame it on her. But critics already said she was underused, so it's fine. I understand what you're trying to say, she isn't wise when picking a script and even if she picks a script that fits well, who knows what they're gonna do. She's no Bette Davis that is able to complain to change her lines in the script or demand more screen time. C2C is successful because her fans at that time supported her to thrive other genre but L4S, dare I say her fans punished her for attaching herself too much with jazz and LV residency.

That isn't declining relevancy or being a has-been to me. That is staying power and longevity. 2 1
TrymeB Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Every pop star has hits and misses. Like, do we think Bey has never flopped? 😂
єѕℓαм Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's normal but the thing abt Gaga is that when she hits she SMASHES and she never really flops or tanks tbfh
SharGaga Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That's Life. You're riding high in April and shot down in May. 1
dumbsparce Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Her mistake is that she keeps wearing different costumes instead of blending everything up to create a consistent brand. JazzGa and actressGa are boring with their fashion. MonsterGa is a completely different person and makeupmogulga is Stefani. If she wore the meat dress while being jazzga or wore jeans and a tshirt for her pop gig it'd make things way more interesting but instead she thinks she needs to completely rebrand herself every 2 years. Shimenawa Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago She is just the modern Chèr. Lots of success and flops but still an iconic pop star and actress in the end
MP3 Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago She just does what she likes and doesn't run after success, that's why she has longevity and respect 1
Gagaast Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago her inconsistent branding and image is what's hurting her success. Gen z doesn't like to be associated with her.
TipToe Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago First of all Million Reasons is not a hit, second this is not exclusive to Gaga like you said she's past her "imperial phase" where it was expected for her to have constant success, after it ends it's common to any artist to face a bumpy path. It's the whole picture that matters after a certain point.
