Is The Eras Tour the biggest event your city has seen?

My city, Toronto, has not had the Superbowl, Olympics, or World Cup. The Eras tour has created a media frenzy here not seen since the Raptors NBA championship parade. Is the Eras tour the biggest event your city has seen?

No. Coldplay performed more shows at a bigger stadium in my city

In Europe we're lucky enough if she came to our country, most of us traveled up to 10 hours to get there :deadbanana4: and I guess that's the same for anybody outside USA. Anyways, Coldplay have held the biggest concert my city has ever had.

Taylor's concert is the biggest event to ever take place in Toronto? Surely that can't be true? :skull:

She didn't come to my city, so it was a video of Moo Deng

Nope. I didn't say my city was one of the answers.

But it certainly is one of the biggest events. We don't get world cups, Olympics, etc. and while Coldplay came and maybe played more, it didn't create the media frenzy that has happened this weekend.

No lol. It felt quite uneventful actually

My city hosted a world's fair back in the day so that's probably the biggest event.

Yes, it's the biggest event to happen to Warsaw since the uprising

L loopNo. Mexico City has hosted both Olympics and the World Cup final. And even for concerts she wasn't the biggest. She played 4 shows. Coldplay has the biggest single day show attendance, GrupoFirme and Rbd played 7 or 8 each at that same Stadium and Shakira is playing 6 next year.

She hasn't come to my city since the 1989 tour :rip:

It's quite comical to see the media frenzy around Taylor being in Toronto. I feel like it's all the news outlets have been reporting :rip:

Nah, I live in DC. The biggest event we've had was The Celebration Tour.

In any of Argentina's  cities the biggest event is always when the football team wins the world cup.

I would say Taylor comming was like 1/20 of what happened in 2022

DC constantly has big events so no. I will say it sucks that DC doesn't have a functional stadium to host large concerts like Eras, though. Our closest stadium is FedExField in Landover which I had an atrocious experience with for the Renaissance tour :rip: The show was incredible, but the stadium and staff handled inclement weather horrifically and created unsafe conditions for concertgoers.  I will not be returning to that location, I'd rather just take the train to Philly.

In my hometown, Coldplay will have the biggest record for holding 3 shows in the newly built stadium.

So far Lady Gaga has the most shows in the arena as an international act.

Yes

Ended the Olympics :clap3:

I guess if they hadn't been able to prevent the terrorist attack, it would have been the most devastating "event" to ever hit my country (or possibly all of Europe).

I went to the Rio show so no. Madonna's concert last year pulled over 1.6 million people. + the Olympics and Rock in RIo which pulls over 700k people every 2 years so definitely no.
