benjichilders Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I was apprehensive (as I usually am of albums over about 17 tracks), but this has blown me away. It's essentially an anthology of her family's musical legacy. I'm impressed! I'm very much looking forward to the docu-series and book next year! I was at night one of the taping for the concert segments of the documentary (front row!). Can't wait to pick up a physical in the morning so I can obsess over the liner notes! Also, they need to ship may Appalachian autumn vinyl! 1

I forgot that there's a docuseries. I can't wait for that! I feel like all of these projects are signalling that she's winding down her career. Some of her recent side hustles seem to be a way to help set her family up for when she's gone.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. The last lines of the outro on the album almost sound like it could be her final album, even though I know she's mentioned a gospel album and some other stuff that's never come out.
