There's a plethora of great queer content out there, but it's not just american. You'd be surprised the great tv shows and films Europe, Asian, Oceania and South America make with gay characters as the main focos without it being watered down or with straight audiences in mind

I watched the first season when it came out. I was 27 back then and I loved it. It reminded me a bit of A Cinderella Story. I haven't seen the other two seasons yet

I actually think it's refreshing to see a LGBT+ show that's aimed towards a younger demographic.

 

What did we have growing up for representation? Adult shows such as the L Word, Skins that weren't catered for us and we probably shouldn't have been watching at such a young age. I just think of all the young LGBT+ people who get to see this and gives them hope for the future.

I'm sorry, but not every lgbt's person life is just about sex like in many other shows.

Season 3 is really really dull, I'm forcing myself to finish it.

 

I know I'm too old to relate to teenage drama, but they could have at least make the storytelling compelling instead of this dry

Yea I'm aware there's plenty of gay-oriented fiction out. I was speaking to have one that's both edgy and zeitgeisty. Think of the flagship shows on the major streamers or movies that grossly surpassed commercial expectations. I don't know that they would've done what they did if you replace the central character/ conflict with a gay one.

I agree. I' glad the new generation has it. Only grit scratches my itch these days.
