SoldierofLove Posted November 14 Posted November 14 "I would be really proud of myself if I could be a part of that as my younger self," he continued. "Everyone above the age of 40 should be forced to watch it." https://deadline.com/2024/11/jonathan-bailey-netflix-heartstopper-1236175965/ Well? Which ATRL gay needs to be forced to watch it?
Venice B Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I forgot he appeared on this last season for like five seconds
Baby Dancer Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I'm under 30 and kind of hated it, but I only read the webcomic. 3 1
Bey'Knight Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I love Uncle Johnny and I'm under 40 but I'm not watching that sh*t. Im glad it exists though. I just wish gay content didn't have to be watered down to PG13 to appeal to pedestrian demo. 1 1
Abracadabra Posted November 14 Posted November 14 When it first came out I thought I was too old for it just in my 20's but then I watched it and was so glad I did, such a sweet story 2
glitch Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I'm in my mid 20s and it was too cringe, I could only get through two episodes. Happy for the baby gays who enjoy it though 3
Dula Peep Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I miss when kids were doing dr*gs and having s*x like in SKINS and EUPHORIA 1 1

You'd be surprised the great tv shows and films Europe, Asian, Oceania and South America make with gay characters as the main focos without it being watered down or with straight audiences in mind 2 1
JO1s Posted November 14 Posted November 14 How about you encourage people to play the critically acclaimed mmo Final Fantasy XIV where you play G'raha Tia. With a free trial up to level 70 which includes the critically acclaimed A realm reborn, the award winning hevensward and stormblood. With no restrictions on play time. 7
Mirtilo Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Not over 40, but I would never torture myself watching that show 1 1
Sawk Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Im not over 40, but he could force me to do anything he desired
Princess Aurora Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I watched the first season when it came out. I was 27 back then and I loved it. It reminded me a bit of A Cinderella Story. I haven't seen the other two seasons yet

What did we have growing up for representation? Adult shows such as the L Word, Skins that weren't catered for us and we probably shouldn't have been watching at such a young age. I just think of all the young LGBT+ people who get to see this and gives them hope for the future. 6
Kamaotori Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I find Heartstopper refreshing. I'm sorry, but not every lgbt's person life is just about sex like in many other shows. But I'm not surprised at the feedback here, we have people stanning Kardashians and other celebrities that share one braincell. 1

I know I'm too old to relate to teenage drama, but they could have at least make the storytelling compelling instead of this dry 2 1
popmusicisdead Posted November 15 Posted November 15 girl i saw Cannibal Holocaust when i was 5 years old. unless they're battling to the death, i'm not interested 2 1

I was speaking to have one that's both edgy and zeitgeisty. Think of the flagship shows on the major streamers or movies that grossly surpassed commercial expectations. I don't know that they would've done what they did if you replace the central character/ conflict with a gay one. 8 hours ago, babycomeround said: I actually think it's refreshing to see a LGBT+ show that's aimed towards a younger demographic.
