it takes time to be uploaded, approved and be available to stream.. that's why artists usually turn it in at least a few days before the release date. I think it's gonna be out at 12 ET, so in 3 hours

What would the point in that be though at this point? We might as well wait a few more hours to hear the songs with proper mixing the first time

this and if he can drop remove and drop an album at random times on streaming services im pretty sure she can too

based on what she said they already fixed the mixes and turned it in last night it just takes time to be up on every platform for us to stream

These situations were more understandable in the CTRL days, but I don't get how her label continues to let things like this happen when she's so much more famous now

I know RCA is also messy af but lets stop blaming the label for once cause this is clearly SZAs fault and she wont learn  Remember when they had to steal her harddrive in order to get CTRL released. Or how SOS came out two years after Good Days release. Or when she released Shirt a year after it went viral cause she had „to fix" the mixing (and it sounded identical to the snippet). I could go on but I think my point is clear

It's not the first time a major artist has done this, tinkered until the last minute, upload late to DSPs and then it releases half way through Friday. 

However, the thing that annoys me more is she could have just taken a page out of her label mate's book...tinker with the album until the night before AND surprise release it today. I know we have been waiting for LANA but imagine the gag if in a few hours she tweets out LANA OUT NOW as opposed to us waiting around all day...

yeah some artists are just hard to manage and that's ok... I actually believe she probably announces the date even before the album is done so she actually has to finish it  or she would never release anything lol

Why is everything with her so.... complicated. I do really enjoy some of her music, but she makes it hard to be an actual fan.

The whole "SZA is a liar" started off as a joke/something not that serious - the freckles, not owning a tv, never having a cake, etc.

 

 

But I do think her management has a problem ahead of them if this begins to permeate the way it has been in her fanbase. I think the multiple years of promising music - not delivering, release issues, etc. has left a lot of her fans a bit hopeless
