Oh Whoopi...

But for real some people don't realize how privileged they are and how grateful they should be for the type of life they get.

i know this is just run of the mill out-of-touch rich person stuff, but its especially funny coming from whoopi who is almost never knowledgable or prepared on any segment, squints to read the prompter to still mispronounce every other name, and is often fully talking with her mouth full on live TV. she might've hustled back in the day but she is by no means the paragon of hard work today. i genuinely think she works 4 hours a week lol.

I don't know how she's still employed based off what you listed alone, which is accurate

rich liberals are so off-putting

i mean she's literally at work saying this so she's not wrong. and to defend her just a tiny bit, she could easily be in debt that we don't know about BUT what she fails to really understand is, her hard time isn't the same as someone who's not a celebrity. she may not be able to afford her lifestyle, but there's people who can't afford basic needs like groceries or even a place to stay.

People with a lot of money but not billionaire money do have to work to maintain what they have, and that's valid.  But... you don't HAVE to have multiple homes, cars, support three generations of your family, and go on lavish vacations.

Whoopi could give some things up, retire to a multi-million dollar home in LA, never work again, and still leave her family enough money for a nice life.

If she's that in debt, it's just irresponsibility and not the inability to be upwardly mobile like so many people in America right now.

There are single moms out there making $30k who budget to the penny and make it work for their family.  If you gave one of those women Whoopi's $5 million dollar salary, they'd probably be able to stretch it to the very end of their lives.

aww maybe let's start a gofundme for her? :dancehall:
