where's the album announcement...? does it come after her pump + dump scheme closes out?

Not "we'll see you in prison"… Now why are they both going to jail?

Cardi deserves her fans abandoning her. She has done nothing but give them false promises and be rude to them for years. Artists need to realize fans can move on at ANY point and will if you give them enough reason: :rip:

I don't understand the logic of fans withholding and weaponizing their fandom.

I enjoy an artist and consider myself a fan because I get something out of their music, or I appreciate their talent immensely, or find them super interesting. If you can just say "I'm going to stan [your rival]" in order to get back at your fave for not doing what you want... that is petty, immature, and just silly.

True taste, true love isn't getting mad at stars for simply not putting out music. It's their career. You either are a fan of THEM or not.

If they did something truly egregious, okay, question your support. But merely not yet releasing an album, even after teasing it? How old are you? These tantrums aren't cute and no one is owed anything a popstar says they'll do. At the end of the day it's THEIR career and they can and SHOULD use it as THEY wish. YOU still have all the music that made you a fan. If you want to go listen to their rival to tide you over or entertain you, go ahead, but this public display is so cringe. It's giving someone posting "unfollowing!" on social media.

I supported Doja dragging her "fans" for being abusive pests, and I'll support anyone else for it as well. It's so weird to watch Twitter tantrums because your favorite entertainer isn't putting out music(even though she released lots of singles and remixes this year).

At this point she's just deliberately chasing them away

Not the prison chile...

Anyway... I hate to admit it but she is lowkey right though.

It's a win-win situation: Cardi is constantly annoyed by her fans, and her fans aren't happy and can now (hopefully) invest all of this time and energy into their actual lives. I implore people in all fandoms to do the same, it'll feel quite liberating

ATP I think she's trying to kill what little demand is left (musically) so she can focus on living a regular "shmegular" life working as an OF model of the sort.

I think you people forget how much power YOU hold as a fan of these artists. Without YOUR support they fade away.

So if the artist wants to play in their investors face for 7 years straight, they have every right to feel the way the do and drop her.

Update: they have given up on cardi releasing her own music and are now hoping for a Nicki feature, using the barbs AI strategy to try and make it happen

Sure? I guess?

But fans are NOT investors. They are supporters.

If a fan buys an album, a single, a tour ticket, merchandise, or streams...the transaction ends there. The fan got EXACTLY what they paid for. They are not owed anything further. If Cardi has been crowd-funding, there's a reason to expect that one's prior support guarantees or entitles something. But I don't think she has. Believing that you are owed more from the artist and making demands just because of prior consumption is at best entitled and at worst parasocial (I hate to even use this term).

I think a fan has every right to drop a fave when they chose, but if it's done alongside an ultimatum that puts their very fandom on the line, it suggests a lack of actual maturity. Someone mature would instead just stop supporting the artist as they once did. Getting online to announce it, weaponizing your support is grasping in a way that is a bit ridiculous and makes you seem fake. There is a difference between frustration towards your fave and weaponizing your fandom like a Karen. Because at the end of the day, while fans are super important, it's actually the GP that decides if someone fades away or not. And I guarantee the GP is not acting like this towards her.

She's been telling the world an album is on the way for 6 going on 7 years, tried to offer up "album info" as a way to motivate BardiGang to get her songs to debut top 10 on the Hot 100 and now she's pushing cryptocurrency.

They have every right to feel this way. She's playing in their faces. You can only stream Invasions but so many times.

I thought Cardi was going have an album out by now….. :suburban: didn't Atlantic say it's coming this year, no matter what?

Fan page owners are usually pretty twisted, the other big Cardi one was revealed to be using their power to get in underaged fans dms and solicit photos. That was of course ignored and the page is still going lol.
