Mr.X Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I bloody loathe christmas music... jesus ******* christ 1 1
tbhmatt Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago It sounds like a bop and does sound like a much better Christmas song than One I've Been Missing. Releasing a random Christmas song in the middle of an attempted solo album roll-out is a…. choice… but I think this could be a hit for her. The UK does eat up some cheesy Christmas songs. 1
Spicy Pisces Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Nothing stuck and now she's going for the niche Christmas song for a boost. Wish her luck though, sounds cute 1
tbhmatt Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Full snippet here. It's giving the British "Underneath The Tree" and I lowkey think it fits in nicely with other modern Christmas classics (One More Sleep, Santa Tell Me etc) This unironically being her best song yet is a scream. I do hope it does well.
Romova99 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago No one from LM besides JADE had anything new, different and/or interesting to bring to the table huh. 1

Gelato Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago what's the strategy here? it sounds decent but it's no santa tell me (aka the only christmas song i really choose to listen to)

Dula Peep Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago i had hope for her Unfortunately she took the Ed Sheeran route
KKKIMO92 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago It sounds like a hit, tho Christmas songs takes a few years to hit. Ariana's and Kelly's took at least 5-10 years to become a proper hit.
glitch Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago She kinda looks like she's wearing invisalign in that cover

All this needs is a few Spotify playlists or a viral Tik Tok trend and it's a certified guaranteed annual smash. Not saying that either of those things are bound to happen as people obviously need to like the song and it needs playlist support first and foremost, but my point is it's much easier now to get an "instant" hit (of any description) compared to 2013/2014
Red Velvet Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The cover art is tragic I don't see it doing well as she probably has no music video and has already exhausted all promotion on the previous 3 songs.
WERKER Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Just to lower expectations - this was recorded two weeks ago and is very unlikely to have a music video or a huge push. I'm sure Capital and radio will play it and she'll perform it at JBB. It's just another nice gift for us Pez stans. I like how it sounds!
tbhmatt Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Didn't someone say Perrie was recording a music video in December? Could it be for this and they will just release it a bit closer to Christmas? Honestly, if this song does well, it won't peak in streams until Christmas Day anyway so there's really no point in worrying about streams or chart positions etc in Mid November. Christmas music doesn't begin to pick up heavy steam until December, so releasing it now to try and gain some attention so it gets added to the playlists before December would be ideal. If it's not too late to be added to Christmas playlists, of course.
alexaalto Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago well it is kinda good thing to keep up realising music during the christmas freeze with a christmas song when they usually start being popular among the artist every year during christmas freeze. little mix OIBM gained around over 8 million streams last holiday season for example which is insane for a song that is pretty "unknown" but even i heard it on the radio at the mall/store yesterday which was so weird haha. they are the songs to go back every year more or less for most people. hopefully this will be a cute yearly hit for her
