Taylor isn't a world class vocalist or anything, but I think she's always done really well with emoting and putting personality into what she sings.  Even as far back as Fearless, that's something she's gotten praise for; you believe the earnestness of what she's singing.  That's one thing that makes 1989 so great, her charisma is fully in the vocal performances on the record.
