It's about time. I wanted to make an account on threads but if everyone goes to BlueSky it will probably be BlueSky. I hope more fandoms organize a switch to BlueSky.

The fact that this has become such a major news story in Democratic circles and become an example of "resistance" is part of the problem. The electorate doesn't care what Swifties do - or the Hive or the Liddos for that matter. Stop relying on these out-of-touch millionaire celebs and their stans (as a conglomerate, not as individual people) to (try to) win elections.

 

I physically cringed when Rachell Maddow told Tim Walz about the Taylor endorsement as if God had personally stuffed 100M ballots for Kamala.

From what I've read the community is more active on Threads so I'm going on Threads after all. I understand that we shouldn't live in an echo chamber but Twitter is too extreme for me personally and I don't like that it's in Musk's hands considering how he's campaigning not only for Trump but also for far right parties here in Europe.

We should all migrate. The question is which one?

• If I follow the accounts giving me news, Mastodon. Disadvantages are each server different experience like subreddits having their own moderation, more suitable for person to person instead of having a big reach.
• Threads is more commercial, celebrities,... and less politics.
• Bluesky experience is more like OG Twitter.

Twitter is dead and gone as much as Truth Social. Keep using it is complicit to Elon and indrectly Trump's actions. There's no way to savage that cesspool as long as Elon still controls the algorithm.
