Pavement Princess Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Quote Well, I just completely disagree. And, in fact, Kamala Harris ran ahead of Bernie Sanders in Vermont. Then why did voters — Go ask Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders has not won. Let me, with all due respect, and I have a great deal of respect for him, for what he stands for, but I don't respect him saying that the Democratic Party has abandoned the working-class families. That's where we are. For example, under President Biden, you see the rescue package, money in the pockets of people, shots in the arm, children in school safely, working people back to work. What did, what's his name? What did Trump do when he was president? One bill that gave a tax cut to the richest people in America. She's a bit off mark but these are very valid points to me. I don't agree with Bernie that Dems have 'abandoned' the working class, the Dems just failed to translate that in their messaging and spent too much time on out of touch things like celeb endorsements and lack of clear definitive policy. I honestly prefer her take over Bernie's.

BOOMBAYAH Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Ms. Insider Trading Pelosi is not about to support a capitalist-critiquing, progressive populist candidate in any Democratic election as long as she is alive. We'll be getting establishment-approved, status quo Shapiro or Newsom for 2028—and we will lose. 1

No American voter should be voting to lower prices and thinking the Republicans will do a better job than the Democrats.

If anything, to me it sounds more like she wants a primary and she was just being respectful to Kamala saying "she could try again". It didn't sound like she is endorsing Kamala tbh. I don't really like Pelosi, but I think the way she handled the first half of this interview was fine, she said facts. About Biden having to step out sooner, about Kamala doing the best she could and so on. The second half is where she gets a bit delusional with the working class thing, but it could also be just her trying to do PR/Damage control, it's not like she'll admit to the public that the DNC is in shambles rn and stuff, but maybe I'm reading it wrong The DNC are still more for the working class than MAGA republicans are and even tho that doesn't say much, I guess that's what she means. Obviously MAGA wins with the propaganda and messaging. Bernie spilled, but like she won't publicly admit it, maybe even privately as she has a big ego, but overall the interview wasn't as bad as I expected. Edited November 9 by Mariano
John Slayne Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Pelosi won't be around in 2028 Kamala is done the same way Hillary is done. They need a fresh face for 2028

Beyonnaise Posted November 9 Posted November 9 This delusional bag of bones. The Democratic Party is run by fossils who need to RETIRE. They lost millions of votes in states like New Jersey and Connecticut, and she's still pretending nothing's fundamentally wrong with their approach 1
beautiful player Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Yall can seethe but she is right. One of the most incredible thinkers in Congress. Unmatched. 3

Gladiator Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) Another loss of they bring her back for 2028. Sorry. Democrats need someone who actually represents and embodies the left. Not someone trying to win moderates who doesn't share their political ideals and plans with people when asked about them. Edited November 10 by Gladiator

I honestly prefer her take over Bernie's. What policies do you believe Harris brought to the working class? She refused to endorse raising the minimum wage to $15/hr until just days before the election. It seemed silly to avoid speaking about tangibles and only do so when stealing from Trump like with "no taxes on tips" (still an awful policy). Her black agenda talking about "protecting crypto assets" seems removed from reality, no?
