Buffy Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I forgot she had an album out It's clearly been overshadowed 3
byzantium Posted November 9 Posted November 9 She got 3 nominations in a year no one really expects her to win anything. This game people play that everyone is entitled to Grammys is kind of a tired game. I Love Eternal Sunshine. I'm a pretty big Ariana fan. I've seen her in concert multiple times. And I don't think she was snubbed from the main categories. 1

Dula Peep Posted November 9 Posted November 9 lol she's bitter but honestly good for her, why waste a follow on this bogus award show that's just gonna give everything to Taylor?
mrpartyrocker Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I mean yes wcbf deserved but it's not a loss? In all fairness the song didn't feel as big as it was chart wise. Something about the era just felt like it came and went quickly… Clearly her focus going forward will be other fields for a while now, so not sure where this entitlement comes from when she doesn't give 2 cents in general?

This tired ass narrative. Taylor has way more loses than wins. And even on her best years she mostly wins 2 at most. Shift your anger at Beyoncè who manages to get nominated for her farts. 1 2 1
brutal Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I have no idea why Arianators were expecting this album to do well. Commercially speaking, this album was a DECLINE from Positions in the US (where the GRAMMYs are based). Critically, the album is rated pretty averagely (this is 2024, a mid 80 on MC is standard for pop girls lmao). And "moment" wise it got overshadowed by Billie, Sabrina, Charli, and Chappell. Couple that in with the fact that Ariana has never been a Grammy favourite and her max'ing out at 4 nominations or so was very obvious… 1 1

Puttanesca Posted November 9 Posted November 9 ES is her best album but wcbf is max martin at his most basic. Do not care for that song at all when you compare it to some of the masterpieces on that album.
Zaynsus Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Did she even follow them in the first place or was it an excuse to create a thread where losers can drag her ?
Soda Pop Queen Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) I doubt she was following them to begin with. Didn't she fall out with the Grammys producers years ago? Edited November 9 by Soda Pop Queen
genio Posted November 9 Posted November 9 6 hours ago, Badgalbriel said: Yeah, ES was overshadowed by basically every pop album this year. The album made no noise whatsoever and if it wasn't for WCBF, the era would've lasted 1 week (instead, it lasted for 4 weeks lol) It's always the same people from the same fanbase talking the same nonsense daily. ES made no noise apparently, but Yes, And? is performing similar to Fortnight in streaming, meanwhile WCBF is now at over 1 Billion streams, also becoming one of Ariana's most successful and signature classics. According to you, she got overshadowed by basically every pop album this year. If she got basically overshadowed by every pop album, she wouldn't have gotten a nomination in "Best Pop Vocal Album" with Eternal Sunshine, continuing her streak of landing a nomination with every single one of her albums, minus her debut. Eternal Sunshine is super acclaimed with an 84 on MC, three Grammy nominations now, two #1 debuts on the Hot 100 and two weeks at #1 for the album itself on BB200. The album is still lingering around the Top 25 on the most streamed albums globally, 35 weeks after release. Ariana's 7th studio album was a success and we are celebrating it, period.
Velvet Night Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Ariana's album was good and obviously successful, but not such a landmark release that it should be guaranteed nominations.
Black Sunflower Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Try making good music then, sweetie. What a brat. I know that Elvira story is true as ****.

Happy for her having a grounded song for the era but I can't stand to listen to it. So not too pressed about it being snubbed.. there were better songs on the album.
dumbsparce Posted November 9 Posted November 9 There's only room for one female poc in the big 3 and we all know who their chosen one is.
Rev8 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 If true, good Artists should start ignoring this biased and racist award show
