I've accepted what it is years ago. If she releases another album, great, but it's not something I'm expecting or craving from her anymore. She really shouldn't have to keep saying this, we need to let her be.

This time was very clear. 

 

She has tons of amazing songs timeless. She gave us iconics eras, shows, videos and everything. 

So I'm fine with her legacy. 

 

Her voice will always be my favorite singer voice. For me, and I think for the GP ,look at her numbers, her voice and charisma elevates every single song

Rihanna had 7 albums in 8 years with intense promo and multiple tours.

 

I remember back in 2011 folks who worked with Rihanna said she would break down in tears, pass out from exhaustion, vomit in between acts on tour because of how overworked she was. 

Not to mention she faced bankruptcy because money was stolen behind her back. 

 

I honestly admire her resilience.

Fenty and her music are essentially the same under the Rihanna "brand", and she can't do one without consideration of impact on the other.

 

Honestly I think the social climate changing has to do with this as well, and focusing on her products is a safer direction, at least for the time being.

 

I think we'll see more artist and celebrities which similar brand kind of structure doing this.

She would probably still enjoy doing music if her label didn't force her to release an album every year, record videos, promote, perform everywhere and tour the world all the time during almost a decade, cause that must have been exhaushting. It's "sad" for the public cause she has a great voice and does bops but her legacy is fine and I've accepted a long time ago that she does not care about making music anymore. At least she's making it clearer for those who are still waiting.

Disappointed with her contradicting herself. She confirmed she actually restarted to work on R9 in early summer.  She mislead us.

I think the "getting conned" part is when they actually "show you who they are". It's not about what they say or pretend to be, but what their actions consequently reveal about them.

Rihanna used to be one of my favs but I genuinely don't think she should release anymore albums. Her music career/legacy is so iconic as it is. Honestly the Black Panther 2 songs were not worth it at all. So she should end on the high note that is ANTI.

 

I wouldn't mind some droplets and features here and there. With how much she's been talking about Billie, I wouldn't be surprised if they do end up working together in the future.
