I mean I like her, I listen to some of her songs from time to time, but I'm not clamouring for new music from her and I don't know anyone who is.

 

Pop has moved on. I don't mean that in a negative way because if she released a new single I'm sure people would be curious. But she's not an essential to the genre anymore.

She's not Kate Bush, this isn't some loss to music. She was always an empty canvas that sang the songs that writer/producer camps made for her.

At this point people constantly asking/demanding music from her are more annoying than she is. It's clear the passion isn't there anymore. Do y'all really want her to release something just for the sake of it?

She has 8 studio albums, performed in every possible award show to exist, won several grammys, has 14 #1 hit songs, catalogue is still going strong on streaming, etc.

 

Most pop stars that are still going either don't have the same amount of albums as her, or are just past their peak and have nothing groundbreaking to offer anymore.
