Lagerfeld Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It seems like many Americans opted to vote for Stein in key states. Is a big change yet to come in the following years? Thoughts?
Virgos Groove Posted November 6 Posted November 6 You could add all third party votes in every swing state to Kamala and she'd still lose. 1 12
shookspeare Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Doubt it, the two-party system will remain and establishment democrats will hopefully be sober enough to consider the Trump landslide an indictment of their own corruption. Maybe once they do some self-reflection they'll bring some actual ideas to the table rather than memes and celebrity endorsements. Congrats to Jill Stein though, y'all can't use her as a scapegoat this time. 9 1
GraceRandolph Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The way the Jill Stein scapegoating won't even work this time because Kamala tanked across the board so badly. 3 1 2
BlackoutZone Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Kamala would have still lost massively and those people at least weren't spineless and voted for the choice closest to their beliefs instead of choosing a lesser of two evils. Progress is change. Signaling interest in other candidates encourages more people to pick different party next time around instead of being stuck in the same loop, cycle to cycle. This goes for many countries around the world, not just the US. 6 6
Bosque Posted November 6 Posted November 6 0.4% is not many votes lmao, plenty of third party candidates have done much better in the past
Raver Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They really can't blame third party this time but they will when they should be dragging Kamala. She's a coward as she couldn't even show her face to her supporters last night
gagacasanova Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I was initially very irritated seeing third party votes. But the more I seen the gap widen, I'm now just irritated with the non-voters. 1
RunUpDoneUp Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) Though the effect was not significant, I want Jill Stein ousted from running an electoral campaign ever again. She's not even for american democracy in the 1st place. Any kind of foreign agent or confirmed actor for outside parties need not be eligible to run for anything in a sane country. Reginald Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I'm more pressed about the 15-20million less voters the Democrats got. When Project 2025 becomes reality, they will be the ones to blame. I hope they live long enough to regret what they have unleased on the world.
