I was prepping myself for that income and still it feels crazy. My biggest concern now is climate change, everything else is ****ed anyway. I just know that at least 10 mln of those votes are bases solely on "woman can't be a president"

Will it end in nuclear war in 2028? Here's hoping.

Dems and left need to spread fake News too against the right

Since no one wants to criminalize it and the average person wont look for actual sources, they need to destroy Trump image by feeding lies about kids getting lower iq and more kids killed in mass shootings during Trump years, poverty growing, etc. Thats gonna taint his image to the average person who isn too much focused on parties

but the first to suffer are gonna be pople who didn't vote for him... i mean i know some minorities voted for him as well but most of them didn't ask for this :(

If they didn't want a dictator in the all faces of government, maybe the whole US population should have gone out and voted.

In what sense?

I knew there was a chance Trump would win, but it still hurts.

My entire family is disabled and I'm so worried about their future especially with the Republicans planning to cut Medicare and Social Security. Department of Education is also being botched which means there won't be any IEPs (Individualized Education Program), a plan that outlines a child's special education needs and how they will be met, moving forward. They wouldn't even get any accommodation or support.

Not just that, but we also have to think about bodily autonomy being restricted even more, three Supreme Court seats being MAGA, and LGTBQIA+'s right to marry and be protected being overturned.

And the fact that it appears that the Republicans have taken all three, Presidency, Senate, and House. This is scary and I'm at a loss for words.

I just really need y'all to realize ppl voted for him because of the state of the economy mostly. The majority of the public did not vote for him because of homophobia or because they're anti women. They simply want more money in their wallets instead of LGBT rights, a sacrifice.

But even if that is the case, then they are clueless hoping Trump will strengthen their economy.

He took credit for the economy Obama had been building for 8 years. There's absolutely no way a good economy can be created in a country as large as the USA during 4 short years and the DUMB MAGA REDNECKS CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT!

Agh, I'm fuming.

Hardly a surprise. From an outsider's perspective, this was always the obvious outcome and I can't believe people didn't see it coming.

this hurts. I hate how scared I am and how scared all of my friends are right now. the first two hours of my shift tonight were just me (I turn 28 in January), two of our residents (28 and 36), and my boss (25) talking and trying to distract ourselves but just having these results simmering in the background. we couldn't get our minds off of it, and even though I'm alone in this quiet lobby right now with the first Denver snow of the season piling up outside, I feel like this is just a nightmare. I have really great friends who are undocumented, some of the people who clean this building in the mornings are undocumented. almost all of my friends are queer, and the few who aren't are straight women. I feel like crying. my roommate and I are gonna seriously look at renewing our passports later today after he gets off of work.

f*ck anyone and everyone who claims to be "apolitical" or "non-political" on their dating profiles. f*ck people who didn't vote. I don't want to psych myself out anymore than I have been. I'm a little proud of my own home state (Maryland) and the state in which I currently live for the respective results. it felt like maybe something would've been able to give somehow. I hate how optimistic I am sometimes. one thing I cannot stand is how f*cking uneducated and clueless my country is as a whole. it's so embarrassing. and so many just don't WANT to learn! I don't understand how you could f*cking. NOT. WANT. TO. LEARN. :ace: I know I'm using a lot of "I" but that's kinda how I process and work through these intense emotions. it's just rough. I don't want the people I love, the people in our community, human f*cking beings who just want to live in PEACE WITH THEIR IDENTITIES AND WHO THEY LOVE to be f*cking discriminated against anymore than they already are. how can you plausibly have a heart and live with yourself knowing that you supported this happening? HOW?

I told my boss earlier that if possible I do not want to work with/see this guy who used to be our other night shift concierge ever again. he was considering rehiring him because he randomly texted my boss the other day. he burnt the f*cking bridge in his penultimate week, using buzzwords like "gender agenda" to prove his asininity and bigoted ways. hateful towards our trans siblings for no f*cking reason other than him probably being too stubborn to educate himself. he said that sh*t to me and I really hope I never see him again. it's so scary knowing that there are people like that, who just don't want to f*cking learn or grow when they get to a certain point in their lives. that man is almost 40, but f*ck if I didn't see other 18-mid 20 year olds at my university emphatically praising trump and attending the bigass turning point meetings at our school when I was still prancing around Boulder. I also can't stand the Gen X and older mindset that they're not in the prime of their lives so they don't f*cking care that the younger folks are going through it. we're going through it and the most important thing we can do now is stick together in any way possible. hug your friends, hug those you love, hug your family if you're friendly with them. the time to grow never ends, and those of us who know that needn't ever forget it.

I'm just reflecting now, feeling like nothing's ever gonna be the same. but that's how it's already been.

some people still think it's Trump who gave them "free money" (in the form of stimulus check) in 2020 when in reality it was the Congress (leaning democrat at the time) :toofunny2:

i mean we're fighting a losing battle because as long as people like Musk let fake news prosper there's no way to let the truth be heard (and acknowledged).... :doc:

This is mainly the Democrats and Kamala own doing. Failing to take clear stances on issues like the war on Palestine and even trans Healthcare. They should know by now that Americans don't want centrists that cater to whatever political opinion is popular or donors pay more to have (that's not how Trump himself got popular). Kamala failed to energize the Democratic base. Basing your own election bid on not being Trump isn't enough.

Of course racism and sexism also played a part, but isn't the only factor.

But most people don't know that. Most people aren't paying attention to politics. Either way not being able to afford groceries was always going to be blamed on Bidens administration since he's president.

I feel exactly the same even though I'm not American.

None of this makes sense.

I hope all yall who cried about Palestine are REALLY ready to start a revolution and not just be twitter fingers for the next 4 years. Give these people HELL. The dems lost EVERYTHING. From the house to the presidency. So no more crying about them.  Cause if you don't hold these republicans accountable (even though they don't give a ****)  this country will go further to ****.

Yall got what you wanted. Kamala lost. You taught your "lesson" So now put your actions and money where your mouth is!
