lol chile, what? I'm dead. She acts like she was auditioning for the Broadway musical and not the Hollywood film. On Broadway, you absolutely have to be all in and drop everything else to train. With 8 shows a week, the schedules are rigorous and demanding. Musical theatre is no joke.

 

The Hollywood film version was still in pre-production. I admire the discipline for a passion project but it's not like they were about to start filming next week for a role she hadn't even gotten yet

Yes and it seems to be working for Ariana. The thing is Hollywood won't take seriously someone who's main career was being a singer, the only way their acting career will be taken seriously is if they dissociate from their singing career.

Also she didn't even cancel the tour, so at the end of the day there were no consequences of those feelings. Why does she have to keep them to herself?

I mean she didn't do it, but the intention itself is why she should've kept it to herself. Yes she would have been given an opportunity but maybe you could say the same about her fans? Maybe some of them will sacrifice to buy a concert ticket, travel to another country and book accommodation just to see her once in a lifetime. I mean she hasn't been on tour since 2019, so some of her fans probably won't get to see her again. I think a person's opportunity to see their favourite artist matters more than an established millionaire that can basically do whatever and whenever she wants with her life. Think outside the box

Not hating as I love Ariana's music but her personality has became really off putting during this press run. It's not about if it's her dream role or if she didn't actually cancel, it's the disrespect that she would even contemplate that or say it aloud. Fans are paying money to come see you, maybe even flights or hotels. Majority of them being working class who are most likely struggling paying month to month. To say you would just scrap it for a role is a big slap in the face to them. Not a great look and very tone deaf.

Well, I am glad she went along with it. The tour became her best selling one.

Highly doubt she wants fans who wouldn't understand why she would prioritize achieving a dream of hers anyway or police her honest thoughts. ^^
