SoldierofLove Posted October 28 Posted October 28 David Eby's British Columbia NDP appears to have fended off the John Rustad Conservative surge by a razor-thin margin to form the next provincial government, CBC News projects. Whether the party forms a minority or majority government is still uncertain. Currently, the NDP has been elected in 46 ridings and is leading in one, with the Conservatives elected in 43 and leading in one. The B.C. Greens have been elected in two ridings. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7364897 New Brunswickers have voted for change — and helped make some history too. Susan Holt led her Liberal team to a solid majority government Monday, bringing an end to six years of Progressive Conservative rule. Even Premier Blaine Higgs lost his seat in the red tide of change. The final tally is 31 seats for the Liberals, 16 for the Progressive Conservatives and two for the Greens, including Green Party Leader David Coon. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7358873 There is hope 5

Conservative got 44 seats, that's +36 more than the last election with a swing of +41.4% The NPD won the election with 47 seats but that's -8 seats from the last election and they lost -2.9% of the general vote

MatiRod Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Oh thank ****. The conservatives wanted to get rid of rent control here (BC has some of the best rent control in the world arguably, it's hard to evict someone and they can't increase your rent more than like 2-3% per year). They were going to plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. 1
