Bubble Tea Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Quote I feel like I never really got to explain properly why I made sl*tpop my first encounters with sex were pretty sad experiences I wish I never had to have had and experiences that I had no say in … I was so angry for the whole beginning of my life that it never felt ok or enjoyable but actually felt like the opposite of that . I went to doctors to transition so early and most of them said things along the lines of me being a pervert or my identity being a perversion . I think being called a pervert so early and treated like one for that always stuck with me and is hard to shake to this day . I just wanted to create a little universe where sex was fun cause for me it never was and maybe never will be … I don't think people understand how hopeless it feels to need a sex change and know that from a young age … it's judged so brutally to this day … it's a recurring theme of my music to create characters who i wish i was and wish i could be … but it's the opposite of my actual experience with it all . Svetlana you will always be famous 12
jees Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I followed her since before she was famous, then albums like this made me lose all the respect I had for her as an artist. I just can't take her serious anymore whatever she explains. 9 1

Popular Post Bussea Posted October 28 Popular Post Posted October 28 (edited) So that makes her choosing to work with abusers (to make this music) and even insinuate that a victim was lying even more disgusting and hypocritical . I'm sorry that happened to Kim and she nor no one deserves to have sexual experiences that make them feel uncomfortable and gross but she owes Kesha an apology and all the other people she blew off when they rightfully called her out for this. I hope she heals and gets to be happy. I still think her old songs are great and think she can still turn her career around. 1

Can you lot stop turning every Kim Petras thread into a Kesha support thread / Dr Luke hate thread? We get it already my goodness 15 9 29
IBeMe Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Sorry but I've had it with artists releasing basic panned trash and then trying to attach a deeper meaning to it to elevate its status. No, this album was just trashy sex bops. And that's OK Svetlana! 6

Timeless Posted October 28 Posted October 28 13 minutes ago, TheFireLexus said: How are these two things connected? Unfortunately there are many close-minded people out there who think everyone who transitions is doing it for sexual reasons (i.e. a fetish), so I assume that is what she meant by the "pervert" part.

The irony is thick. This is what's to be expected and you will deal. She wants sympathy after naming her album Problematic😛🤪😜 Gurl bye Edited October 28 by SmittenCake 7 3 1

Not to mention she tried to name her album PrObLemAtIc xD to mock the people calling her out. **** that. Her also being a victim doesn't erase the nasty **** she did and she should've had empathy for another woman who has been through the same things that she has been through. What the **** isn't clicking? If you feel this strongly tell the rest of your fanbase to stop attacking kesha, calling her a liar and making light of her sexual assault for some ******* kiis. Beat it, *****. Edited October 28 by Bussea 20 2

Doesn't mean it's good, but she wasn't trying to make something that had depth. Also doesn't take away from the reason why she felt the need to make this type of music tho 1
Reginald Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Two things can be true at once: I definitely still side-eye her choice of collaborators, and this is probably the most sympathetic I've ever felt for her. 5 1

Not a gay themed party or club night goes by without an SP song coming on. I think anyone who gave it a second thought could see it's just Kim trying to make an album about sex seem fun and silly. It's actually great. 2 1 3
