I've been over Elizabeth Woolridge Grant for years now. Her last few albums have been mostly borefests. She just hasn't been cool to me since Lust For Life.

It's one thing to actively be homophobic and another to be randomly quoted 20 years ago in a later unverified quote saying something homophobic but having never been accused of such behavior... She's allowed to (and has been) friends with a variety of different people, so we know well she does not pick her friends based on (yes) views. Since it's also one thing to have (religious) viewpoint sand another to be actively be practicing them. Like if he was actively doing homophobic things but all I see is his church says it accepts everybody and he's never preached that quote in his church.

Religious people who secretly think being gay is a sin and might bring it up at family dinner or whatever but otherwise are living and let live are the least of our concerns. Realistically, when there's plenty of people who would be happy to scream it and do worse.

 

And at the end of the day, people should be judged by their own opinions. We obviously know what Lana's views are despite whatever people conspire here... like that's something we know from interviews, unreleased songs, and her posts, from YEARS ago.
