LovingDays Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Oh... I fear my fav also has this mindset... At least his performances are always 10/10
Popular Post Burn Posted October 25 Popular Post Posted October 25 (edited) "That was the video" = a poor man's "You are the visual baby". 😭 She wanna be Beyoncé so bad. Edited October 25 by Burn 7 22
ChooseyLover Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Why don't you hire a professional so it records the whole thing and you put that out? Fans attend your show to enjoy it, not to record the whole thing uncomfortably with their arms hurting from holding their damn phones, and on top of that surrounded by other loudy fans. 6 3
50thStateofMind Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I mean you have to be a good performer first.... 4 1
VeniceBeach Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Pop girls have become so lazy when it comes to music videos, but if done right, they are one of the main reasons why a song goes viral today (Ariana's WCBF, Gaga's dance in DWAS, Sabrina's Taste etc.) Edited October 25 by VeniceBeach 5 1

MidnightsAtPeace Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) This new era of stomping on music videos as a concept and trying to belittle the power and artistry in visuals is very boring and exhausting. I miss it when artists used to go all out for their visuals because it's the only way we get to see how an artist envisions their own music and it's very fun, inspiring, and exciting too. Beyoncé, Nicki, Taylor, and many other A-listers have the power to bring back the significance of music videos to some extent (I know that making visuals isn't profitable anymore but they are all multimillionaires and some are even billionaires so it wouldn't hurt to put your credit cards to use and create visuals), but they choose not to, and then very annoyingly come up with terrible excuses to justify why they're not releasing music videos. HUNNY YOU ARE JUST LAZY AND STINGLY Why include Taylor in this? She's been making 2-3 music videos per YEAR despite YouTube dying and views are considerably low

Also folklore, evermore, and TTPD have the total number of three music videos (i know that for folklore and evermore we were deep into a pandemic but I can't wrap my head around the fact that only one song out of 31 songs on TTPD has received the music video treatment and no I don't consider the video for ICDIWABH a proper video) 1
ScorpiosGroove Posted October 25 Posted October 25 she's too broke and lazy to pay for them herself and the label isn't giving her any budget wbk 3 1
Shinning Posted October 25 Posted October 25 aka the coins aren't coming in like that anymore and you don't have the budget for both. 2 2

Beyonce made ZERO during this time. Is It Over Now was an unexpected #1 hit and by that point Taylor was already back on tour and recording TTPD behind the scenes, she had no time to make a music video for a song that already hit #1 without even lifting a finger. Cruel Summer is basically a tour promo single, so there's no point making a music video for it and also the song is literally 5 years old now. OT: the reason why Nicki ain't releasing music videos is because all the ones she released in the 2020s flopped considerably. All of them, aside from Barbie World, are under 60 million views. That is terrible for an artist of her caliber. It's embarrassing to keep wasting money on music videos that never end up succeeding or do anything for the song itself on the charts. This actually goes for many other famous artists too. 2 2
BrattyBottom Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Would the worst performer in hip-hop give an excuse like this?
blaggot Posted October 25 Posted October 25 we've gone from "you are the visuals" to "you make the visuals" 11
UnusualBoy Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Pop girls have gotten so ******* lazy, they're not releasing music videos anymore, drop the albums and let them to die but then again wonder why they flop. 1
