JoJo Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) The tour could've crossed $200 million if she had toured in Latin America, but $186 million is still amazing, of course The tour's co-manager confirmed that there was enough demand to fill up stadiums, so I wonder if that's the next step for Olivia or if she'll stick with arenas like Billie is doing. dumbsparce Posted October 24 Posted October 24 To add to that, it's also the highest grossing tour by an O.R. chanteuse, an O.R. chanteuse of filipino descent, an O.R. chanteuse who has beef with Taylor and an O.R. chanteuse of filipino descent who has beef with Taylor 6
Timeless Posted October 24 Posted October 24 With only just 2 albums, that is an amazing feat To think she can only go up from here 1
Joey307 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I mean…what other artists were born in 2000 and after? Billie Eilish? 1
wish Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Oh helllll no. We need Billie to announce LatAm and Asia dates for her tour immediately Spoiler just kidding, congrats Olivia of course I have respect for the tour that birthed Chappell's rise to stardom 4

This must have been the previous record: Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever - $131.7 million (79 shows) Billie's probably on track to take this record back with her current tour. But she also had her first headline tour 5 years before Olivia's SOUR tour. 1 hour ago, JoJo said: The tour's co-manager confirmed that there was enough demand to fill up stadiums, so I wonder if that's the next step for Olivia or if she'll stick with arenas like Billie is doing. I would love to see a stadium tour next. She totally has the charisma and presence to fill out that stage, imo. Summer stadium tour in 2026 would be perfect if she releases music next year in Q3 or Q4. 1

Billie doing arenas when she could be doing stadiums is one of the most commendable things a MPG has done recently 2

Jenni Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Just now, Saintlor said: Billie doing arenas when she could be doing stadiums is one of the most commendable things a MPG has done recently I think it's actually very smart of her. It's better to do a few arena tours and build a loyal fan base than to do a full stadium tour too early in your career. That's basically what Taylor did, she probably could have sold out a stadium tour during 1989 or even before that, but she waited until Reputation because she knew that by that point she had enough loyal fans to sell out one. Also doing arenas first allows the artist to develop more confidence on stage. Stadium tours also require a bigger structure and logistics, which is a little more complicated if the artist doesn't have much experience. 1

A nice record to have (for now) 2
rhaenyra Posted October 25 Posted October 25 The fact she sold tickets for literal pocket change in some countries and still achieving this much Olivia's an icon and she is the moment 1
RoseBud Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Stadiums sound great but she needs to make sure the stage crew is more competent and doesn't leave any trap doors for her. Also, no more flying around on a moon or the like since there won't be anywhere to anchor it.

I understand Billie thinking stadiums are too impersonal but it feels impossible to get tickets to see her without spending an arm and a leg. I hope she'll realize more fans get to see her for cheaper if she does stadiums
