Angelo Posted October 23 Posted October 23 What do you think about the new colorsoft? I have the previous generation paperwhite but I'm so curious about the new kindle. Any ATRLers who loves kindle too? This is the thread!
Cruel Summer Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I want to try out the Colorsoft because its limited browser would be great in color for keeping up with simple news and things - I'm trying to heavily reduce my blue light screen time without relying on tinted glasses. I LOVE my Kindles in general though. I just got one of the brand new basic models in matcha green; its the same color as my first Kindle Fire, which I got before actually getting a "real" Kindle, so I thought the throwback was cute and I adore the small form factor and the sharpness of the screen. It's a marginal improvement on the 2022 basic but I like it more thanks to the tiny screen improvements. It's genuinely the best reading experience out there among e-readers. I also have a Paperwhite Signature Edition from the previous generation to the one just announced, plus a first gen Kindle Scribe, and previously a third gen Kindle Oasis - but because I don't really carry mine around near water and don't need to use the backlight, none of them can compete with the basic for me, since their screens are marginally worse, they're heavier, and honestly they're too big for my tiny hands.

Do you put stickers on your Kindle? Do you read comics with it or you got iPad for graphic novels?
vuelve88 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Oooh. I didn't even know about this until I saw the thread. That's awesome that the battery can last up to 8 weeks. I do love my Kindle Paperwhite.
velocity Posted October 24 Posted October 24 i love them and have been collecting them for years now. the voyage remains the best one they ever made. i'm interested in the colorsoft but the price is quite high so i'm waiting to see some videos and reviews once it comes out. not really that impressed with the current direction because the paperwhite is too big for my taste and the colors are meh.
Suilen Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Well, I currently use a Kindle Paperwhite 5, and I'm happy with it. Colorsoft sounds interesting, maybe I'll get it in a year or two.
no_better Posted October 25 Posted October 25 My kindle is so old, difficult to highlight stuff on and dies so fast. I really need a new one... But Amazon just blocked my ability to purchase stuff because I was requesting too many refunds lol so not sure if Kindle is for me now
