Elizabeth Francis, born July 25, 1909 passed away on Tuesday at the age of 115 years and 89 days. She was the 3rd oldest living person at the time of her passing: https://longeviquest.com/2024/10/elizabeth-francis-oldest-american-dies-at-age-115/

 

Naomi Whitehead, born September 26, 1910 succeeds Francis as the oldest person in the United States.

When she was born, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's Italian ancestors had just arrived in New York City from Sicily. She managed to outlive Tony Bennett by one year AND see Gaga tease LG7.

Gosh, the things she lived through! She would have been 30 when WWII started. Like an actual adult during WWII, not a child or a baby. The civil rights movement too. Insane. RIP.

I'm always in awe when I hear about people living to be 100+. Like IMAGINE the things they experienced over the years as the world changed :jonnyknife:
